I have used Turo once before and had a great first experience. This time with GoRentGroup was much different. First, my rental wasn’t ready until two hours after the time I booked, then it wasn’t the same car I rented - it was a 2009 Accord, then the alternate car was not clean and had personal items in it (presumably the owners) and lastly it only had a quarter tank of gas. I immediately expressed dissatisfaction to the rental group and he said, “I understand, we’ll take care of it.” As I was already late for my trip, I hit the road. He remained our main contact throughout our experience with GoRentalGroup. He seemed nice enough but really inexperienced with customer service. Two days into the trip (on the day of return) the locks totally jammed up as a result of some sort of lock mechanism malfunction. I called the rental group again to complain and they in turn called Turo support who sent a tow truck to break into the car (total time waiting outside of the car +2hours). The actual issue was not fixed, so if I left the car to pump gas or go to the bathroom on my way back to return the car, I ran the risk of being locked completely out again. At this stage I decided to call Turo to address my dissatisfaction. I was transferred 4 times in 45 minutes just to reach a person who had the power to field my complaint. Then we were disconnected and I had to wait even longer to be connected with someone again. This person apologized for my experience and went back and forth between saying I should have taken the issue up with GoRentalGroup and saying I should have taken it up with Turo. I explained that I had done both and am happy to let Turo and the rental group decide who’s responsibility it is to fix the situation (clearly he was unsure which was the case) so long as it gets fixed. It is now passed the deadline they promised to resolve the issue by 3 days and so I am leaving a one star review. I would have liked to leave a better review had either party contacted me for a resolution. As such, I cannot confidently recommend this rental group or Turo in general after how this situation has been handled (or not handled).

Trip went as planned without any problems. Van was just what I needed and ran great. Decent gas mileage too. Would rent again for sure. Thanks for the help Go Rent Group!
