This review comes in two parts The first being the car itself which was clean, in fine mechanical condition and was as pictured in the photos. Mian as well as friendly, knowledgeable alit the Turo program and took lots of photos before and after, uploading them in reasonable time. He met us early morning at the airport to drop off the car and was there at the airport when we came to drop it off. I have absolutely no complaint about Mian or the car he offered. The reason I have to rate so low is based on the extra stresses involved which would not have been as issue had this been a commercial rental company. 1. Mian was 30mins late to the drop off and although I would normally never mention this, when we were 20mins late to drop off the car I was charged an extra late fee. 2. I have been accused of smoking in the car, which is absolutely untrue as I am not a smoker- so I must now go through the stress of proving I did not smoke in a car that is across the country or absorb an additional smoking fee. 3. Once I drove away I noticed the expiry on the licence plate was expired a month ago and Mian told us he would meet up with us to replace the stickers. However, that is not something that should be my responsibility on a vacation is to drive a vehicle with expired plates until the owner is able to meet up with us. It is illegal to drive with such. 4. There were no proof of insurance or registration papers in the vehicle. I can understand that in this day and age that people do not want their personal information stolen, but you simply blackout the personal details and leave the legal details such as registration and insurance info. Even though insurance is “provided” through Turo when it is rented out through Turo - it does in no replace the legality of having those documents in the vehicle. An officer will not accept an “application” on a phone as proof that the vehicle is legally registered. These documents were not available, nor did Mian make any effort to provide them. It is illegal to drive a vehicle which does not have them. As I mentioned above, Mian was friendly and the car was great - but friendliness does not replace the security of driving a legal vehicle.
