It was a pretty terrible experience. 1) Cleanliness: The car was very filthy. There was an old cup of juice and an old cup of coffee in the cup holders. The floors were very dirty. The windshield seemed to have gum (or bird poop remnants) that just would not get cleaned after after using a window cleaners at a gas station. Lots of stray wires, remotes, and even old headphones in the compartment between the seats. 2) Pickup: It took 20 mins to get into the car from pickup time. The renter had listed out the steps, but after following them the door still took 10+ mins to unlock. After entering, the seats were all the way down and the mats were all over the car (and filthy) so had to be adjusted completely. It took an additional 10 mins+ to get these seats upright. 3) Safety: the 'Needs Maintenance' / 'Oil Change' icon lit up ~50 miles into the trip, and continued to be on for the remainder of our trip. Overall, was a very unpleasant experience - everyone had a very negative experience while boarding the car.
