John helped me more than I was expecting ... He responded my rental request in few minutes and made my first RR rental really easy and without any complications. His truck is aligned, balanced, good tires and has bluetooth & USB dash radio/CD/iPod or iPhone connection... I would rent from him again for sure! Thanks again John!
Really enjoyed borrowing John's truck. It was a nice car, well kept, easy to drive, perfect for moving and large furniture shopping trips. John was also very responsive, friendly, and easy to coordinate with. Would definitely rent it again!
The truck was easy to find and super convenient compared to any rental location. It only had a 1/4 tank in it when I got in, so I had to fill it before I could do anything. It is on street parking, so give yourself time to find a spot when returning. John was flexible and accommodating, making it easy to rent.
This was a great first time Turo experience. The truck was great -- it came with a tarp and a cool cover for the back of the truck, which came in really handy since it started pouring rain on us while we were heading back with our stuff. John was really helpful, too. The only thing I'd recommend is making it a little clearer that it's $0.75 per mile after 100 miles (I think it might be up there now). Otherwise, A++ and I'd do it again! Thanks!
Perfect for the job. We had to pick up a piece of furniture and the truck bed was the perfect size. I drive a standard and found the clutch a little hard at first, but it takes about 5 minutes to get used to. Will definitely rent again if I need to pick up more furniture.
The car was great, and John was very responsive. He came out to help in about 30 seconds when I couldn't figure out how to put it in reverse (push ALL the way left until it beeps). Loved the mobile access, so easy!
This truck was excellent. I was able to move on September 1st, moving day, without any hassle. Picking it up and returning it was a piece of cake, and its spaciousness and sturdiness made a very stressful task extremely smooth, even during the sudden flash floods and thunderstorms that hit the area during the move.
Thanks John, for listing this truck on Turo and providing an extra tarp for the drivers!
This is a beautiful extended-cab pickup in mint condition with less than 80,000 miles on it. John has thought of everything the renter might need and supplied it himself--tarp, bungee cord, transponder, etc. He's a congenial person, easy to work with and very accommodating. This was my first experience with Turo and I'm pretty high on it right now.
It wasn't 1st gear that was difficult to find, it was Reverse! After I found it, though, it was fine. Car fit the description and there was plenty of space not only in the truck bed, but also the rear seats for smaller items. Tarp and bungee option was nice, although I didn't need to use them. Leave time in your reservation to find a parking stop, since you have to find street parking.
Everything was fine, all went well. Very helpful to include all the bungees etc.. I expect for my Ikea run the truck could probably find its own way there by now - I'm sure that's what half the rentals are for.
Only nitpick: the passenger window didn't open, which would have been useful for clearing the window and mirror of raindrops.
Really enjoyed driving this truck. It was ideal for moving some furniture, which is what I used it for - complete with tarp in case of rain. I'd also consider using this again for a day in the mountains.
Reservation worked overall very smooth, the car was easy to find and due to the size you can't really miss it. However, be aware that it is a manual and if you have never driven one, it is not necessarily the smoothest manual. Another (pretty obvious) note, the gas mileage on this vehicle is rather high so keep that in mind when going for a longer trip on this ride.
The remarks are nothing against the car or the owner, it is perfectly organized, there is a note with in the car with clear instructions and there is an EZ ride pass which is extremely convenient, especially on days when the interstate is full of traffic at the tollbooths.
Great experience! John was extremely helpful when I had some issues with the rental process. Once we straightened it out everything was flawless. Truck worked out great hauling building material for a small peoject.
The only issue I had with renting this truck was immediately rectified once I phoned the owner regarding its whereabouts. Difficulties finding it aside, it was a great first Turo experience.
I will absolutely be renting it again as it's fun to drive and the owner was extremely helpful.
A fun, convenient vehicle for me. I just took it to the grocery store because it was nearby, but it was surprisingly comfortable and easy to drive. The reverse gear is a little difficult to find at first, but just push the lever hard to the left and you'll find it. Definitely handles the disintegrating Cambridge roads with ease. And at the end of the reservation, parking was easy my choice of convenient drive-in parallel spots right on Kirkland. I will likely rent it again, and recommended it for moving big stuff as well as every day errands!
Great truck, very clean & comfortable inside. Bed liner has a few nicks, so you know you're OK actually using it to haul stuff, which is probably why you want to rent it. Finding reverse gear is a little funny but it beeps when you get it.
