After check-in and upon arrival to our destination we found out that the keyless door locking feature does not work (When you lock the car by pressing the button on the key fob and walk far away from the car, the door can still be opened by someone else). The host did not tell us about this basic feature not working and we ended up wasting a lot of time trying to figure out how to safely lock the car. We did not want to leave such an expensive car unlocked as it could be stolen or vandalized, and so we decided to call the host. it took 4 calls and quite a bit of time until we managed to reach to him. We ended up missing our plans and driving back home. Upon checkout, the host accepted the car as clean (and I even brought a microfiber towel and cleaned in front of the host any dust that accumulated since we washed it), after I showed to the host that the keyless locking does not work and explained that I will let Turo know about this as other renters need to know until this is fixed, he changed is mind and said that he now does not accept the car as clean. When I asked what exactly is not clean, his answer was that he applies wax before every booking and expects the car to be returned waxed as well (wax lasts for 6 months on average and we rented the car for one day). I'm removing one start for a basic feature not working and another star for the unprofessional, dishonest and immature behavior during checkout.
