the car is a very good car with the basics. Mary was so easy to contact when we couldnt find the key. very good on gas also. Was very convenient to find an open spot when returning the vehicle. would rent this car again in the future.
I drove this car across the bridge to San Leandro and back and I really enjoyed driving it. It is comfortable, quiet and doesn't have any rattles. The car cruises comfortably at legal freeway speeds and higher with plenty of power for passing.
The car is really well-maintained. Brakes and steering are excellent, and the interior is in great condition. The cruise control and radio work fine. The tape player is marked do not use because it ate somebody's tape. The cruise control is at the top of the steering column on the right hand side. Click the button on the end of the small lever to turn it on.
Great car, really cheap. I'd definitely rent again.
This is a perfect car if you need a dependable, inexpensive car without a lot of bells and whistles (no stereo, cruise control, etc.) The AC however works well, the car drives very nicely, and the price can't be beat! Will definitely use again.
I've rented this trusty old Toyota many times in the past, so there are no secrets. It's not a speed demon, but takes me on short trips with no problems. I like the power windows, FM radio, and the air conditioning - perfect for an afternoon in Marin.
The car itself was great, its a sturdy, tough little car that will get you where you need to go. My only difficulty was finding the car. I received a text from Turo that the car was parked on Cesar Chavez. After a few conversations with the very helpful owner, I was able to find the car. Apparently she had been given different information about the car's location. It took me about half an hour to find it.
Old car that runs fine for errands. I drove it to Palo Alto and back - probably not the best idea given that it doesn't go much over 55 mph on the highway. Mary was helpful in finding the car, though the GPS in the car had the wrong location.
Good value for the price, as long as you don't want to drive very fast.
The car is older, and works well. There was a strong smell of garlic inside; don't know if a prior renter spilled something! Other than that, car is clean. It was a little difficult to park it at the end of trip, but that's Noe Valley for you.
I still use an old-style cell phone, so I end up phoning RR and getting chastised for not being tech-savvy. On a more positive note, when returning the car I found a parking place and actually had a nice conversation with the car's owner, who had walked by.
The car ran like a – well, like a well-cared-for vehicle.
I very much enjoyed getting a chance to drive it – and
hope we can continue the experience soon again. Also
my wife was impressed — she had been ready to critique
my not opting for a Zip car or something.
My only problem was that I've never 'texted' before, and
Relay seems to use this to lock and unlock. I guess it's
time to learn!
I just rented Mary Blanche's Toyota, actually for the second time, and just like the first, it ran very well, no issues at all. It's efficient on gas and a solid ride, easy to drive & park. I would definitely rent it again ..it's in my price range.! And not too far from where I live.
Very easy car to access and use. The only little hitch was that the picture and description indicate there is a Turo sign on the side of the car, but I didn't see that when I was looking for the car. I did see the little white Turo sticker in the back window, which was how I found the car. Glad I used it, and would definitely check it out again! Thanks!
It was my first time using the service and thought everything was a smooth process. The only problem was that the car was on a completely different block than what was messaged and was late for an important dinner. We looked for over half an hour. I called the owner who did not know where it was. It wasn't too far away, but other than that, it was a smooth process. Everything otherwise was as described.
There was a bit of humming/rattling in the engine going on the freeway, but given the car's age, I thought this was normal. Corolla's are solid rides, so I was completely comfortable in the car and it took me to where I wanted to go. The car appeared as it was described. As for the cleanliness, it smelled fine and I didn't see anything that made me think it was dirty. The pickup was fine, but the return was a little challenging, since there's no dedicated parking spot and there were so many instructions for where to park the car and how to leave it. Overall, it was a good experience and I would rent it again if need be.
Turo has TERRIBLE customer service. The car was not parked where they told me it would be, and insisted that I walk around in circles trying to find it. After wasting 20 mins looking for the car, I called them back and they put me into a "new" reservation that was nearby. Guess what...the "new" reservation was actually the car I had reserved! WTF! They were also terribly rude and argumentative.
Otherwise, I'm very happy with the car itself. I got ripped off on the gas part though. I filled the tank, and still got charged gas money per mile. It should have been no surprise however, so next time I'll leave it on empty like I found it.
Very affordable! Easy pick up and drop off due to great parking in the neighborhood and proximity to public transportation! Very clean inside. I took it up the Santa Cruz mountains to go camping and the Daily Driver rode like a champ. A little shaky on the freeway but overall a great ride.
I've driven a lot of Toyotas in my day, and have always found them to be solid, reliable and peppy. This Corolla has some tendency to wander; I've found it parked up to 4 blocks away from its owner's home, but like a faithful pet, she always makes her way home. I love this car.
