I am definitely not one to write bad reviews, so I regret feeling the need to this time. Not a good experience. The car was very dirty inside and out. When I mentioned it to the renter upon pickup, he asked if I expected it to be clean, as if the idea was absurd. He later said that because the rate was so low, he doesn't and would not pay for any cleaning. Within a day of getting the car, the check engine light and the maintenance required light both came on. When I notified the driver, he said he had no idea that the car needed any type of maintenance, and that I could bring the car back. I explained to him that because I was 2 hours away from him, and the work week had already started with me working long hours, a 4 hour trip, along with going through the hassle of finding a new car, was just not feasible. He then proceeded to pressure me into buying oil (saying it would fix the problems) and making the "repair" myself, saying he was concerned for my safety. Though he said he would compensate for the cost of oil and refund a day, my safety was put at risk because of apparent negligence to maintain the condition of the vehicle. I'm writing this not to dog the renter, but just to raise awareness of a tremendous safety issue, that will hopefully be repaired. I returned the vehicle, and am thankful that no further incidents occurred!
