I arrived at the Turo Kiosk to find the car in front and waiting. The agent was super quick about the pics and video taken of the car and I was on my way. The car itself was a great ride, clean inside and out. Can't beat the price.
Oddly enough, there was no windshield wiper fluid but it wasn't a big deal.
Overall, it was fantastic service and I look forward to the next time I use Turo
The car runs greater and it's a gas saver. But it smells like cigarettes insides, especially when you turn on the heat or AC. It makes me nausea quite often. The interior could have been cleaner. Other than that, service was great and beyond what I expected. The attendant waited for me after midnight just so I can pick up the car after landing. Also, another awesome staff just drove me to the airport since she saw me in a rush. I can't ask for more for this service! Big thumb uppppp
Audi was a great machine! Thank turo staff for their support. I liked very much to cooperate with the parking at the airport, because it flew to 11 p.m. and lekostyu got to the parking lot at the shuttle, took the car for a few minutes and went to rest. Thank you for the service class.
Steve and Mark and Kevin (I think) were so very awesome to deal with. They upgraded my car because one of the tires on my reserved car needed to be changed. However, I wound up having a blow out on the upgrade. There was no way of anticipating that, but they were very apologetic about the incident. They never once asked about the car, but repeatedly asked if I were okay. They had me come in at my convenience to get another car. Their genuine concern and eagerness to rectify the situation will have me returning to them the next time I am in town.
The car was great and exactly what was advertised! Car was clean, good on gas, and extremely fun to drive up around Napa. Would definitely rent it again the next I'm back in town given it's very reasonable price.
We are was booked Mazda 3 or same car, but turo give us this car. Communication with managers 5 stars. Very fast answer for any questions! Car is big and all our baggage (3 bags), babysit and stroller are fits in the car. Easy to drive, but no parktronic. Rear windows toned, which can make it difficult to ride at night for beginners. Minuses: This car "eats" fuel fast. And if you have headaches, this car not for you- smell in the car is like not fresh car+very sweet odor remover... It was a great experience working with the company. the shuttle bus driver left much to be desired when picking up the car but no complaints. The car drove beautifully and it was refreshing to have a reasonable price on the west coast versus what I'm accustomed to over here on the east coast. The car was efficient, clean and comfortable.
the car in the picture was not the one that I got. apparently the one in the picture had damage and I got a last minute replacement. it had cigarette burns on the steering wheel. a lot of minor damage on the body and was not clean on the outside. and not ready on time. I assume the guys at the station did all they could considering the circumstances. the car drove nicely though, and it got me where I needed to go. It was my first experience with Turo, so hopefully the next time around it will be better.
Car didn't have what was promised and had to ask for the features.
Window also got stuck in "down" position midway through trip.
Was charged for toll booths and asked for credit given experience which was never added to account.
Turo is the best for cheap prices. But that doesn't mean that you have to give car without perfect condition. They gave me Nissan Versa 2015, please check brakes while giving car to renter, thats the primary thing. Car was ok for the cheap price. But safety is important, please check the car condition while assigningto renter.
Great car, OK communication. Turo should make it more clear in the app not to communicate via the messaging tool - I sent a few messages and didn't get a response. Also, at drop-off, no one was there, I called and no one picked up - so I left the car there and got a response after about 15 min when I sent a text message.
The vehicle was out of alignment by a signifcant amount. Likely a previous customer hit a curb at speed and it was never realigned. The steering wheel needed to be nearly 15 degrees off center for the vehicle to drive straight. The tire pressure light came on after 2 days. I checked the pressure that day, 2 rear tires were over inflated by 10PSI. I put the pressure within spec but the light would not turn off. Checked two more times throughout the trip, the tire pressure light refused to disengage although all 4 tires were within specification. Otherwise the drove fine, and the price was right. Not deal breakers, but the vehicle maintenance could definitely be better. The car being out of alignment that much can definitely present a safety hazard.
The trip itself was fine. My only issue is since I had not used turo before I called in advance to find out how to get to airport after returning the vehicle. I was told by the turo employee at the airport lot he would be able to drop me off. I also explained I would be dropping the car off at 530am which is 30 minutes before they open. He assured me that would be no problem. This morning when I arrived to drop off car, no attendant was at the lot and I had to walk 1/4 mile with all my luggage to get out of a paid parking lot to get to my Uber. I usually only use enterprise and will most likely continue too.
Great car, loved that by booking through the Turo direct service I ended up with an unexpected upgrade. This Acura gets great gas mileage, only $17 for round trip gas SF to Gurenville. Attendants at Turo lot were helpful, keep in mind if you get a car directly through Turo just for BART accessible pick up, the lot is walking distance from Milbrae BART, easier and cheaper than the SFO shuttle, etc.
The Turo SFO staff are always great. They even helped us load the car when we arrived late night with two sleeping children. The attendant helped with tricky headrest removal for our car seats. And the return couldn't be easier. Love renting the Turo-owned cars. The Dodge Journey we were given worked very well for our family, and send to have sufficient power. A little slow on the get-up on more steep hills, but overall a very comfortable ride.
I have used RelayRides/Turo several times and this was a slightly disappointing vehicle. The interior had an "old smoke" smell when I picked up the car. Wires were dangling beneath the steering column, and the button on the gear selector kept falling off. Mechanically, something in the front driver's side suspension was clanking badly and gave me some concern. I understand you "get what you pay for" and this was the cheapest car available at the SFO lot, but I've had far better vehicles at this price point at SFO.
