I'm a foreigner and typically the insurance rates are ridiculously high for rental cars. Turo assessed my rates based on my driving records in the country I live in and amazingly, also provides the link where i can get my driving records in my home country. The convenience, not to mention a much more reasonable insurance rates makes this service cheaper than the total cost of my usual rental company. The car though older, drives well and is good for those who are looking to lower their rental cost.
I had taken the Raymond’s Kia Rondo for a trip to Grand Canyon and the car drove very well, the car was extremely efficient for me. I had no problems with it. The rental and the communication with Raymond were very easy! It was my first rental via Turo, and probably I'll rent more cars with Raymond.
The car drove well. It pulled to the left, which is not the worst thing. The bigger issue was that the check engine light came on during the trip. However, Raymond was good about responding and ultimately allowing us to keep driving it during the week. On a small, but still important, point, the car exterior was very dirty when we picked it up - so much so that the first thing we did was wash it. Raymond was efficient in helping us, but seemed a bit rushed to get done with each interaction versus actually spending time making sure our needs were covered.
Raymond was an absolute delight to rent a car from. I had taken his Kia Rio for a 4 day trip. He was able to accommodate an extra day's requirement at a moments notice. The car was in good condition and we all had a good ride.
