Ever wondered what checking every option box would look like in a finished 2013 BMW 335i Sport Line? If the pictures don't satisfy that curiosity you may just have to spend some time behind the wheel! And trust me it is a very enjoyable place to spend time.
This folks is a nearly new, current generation BMW 335i that is more loaded than anything you'll find at a BMW dealer. What sort of driving experience does this level of checkbox ticking offer? Without the key ever leaving your pocket you will enter and start the vehicle with the push of a button. Glancing ahead you'll notice the heads-up display projecting "0 mph" on your the windshield. Putting her in reverse rewards you with a rearview camera display on the large iDrive screen, with guidelines that turn with the wheel to indicate your rearward path. As you get under way you press the voice input button on the steering wheel and say "Enter Address" to launch into a satisfyingly brief conversation with your vehicle: "One six zero zero Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest, Washington, District of Columbia." She takes care of the rest, providing guidance on both the screen and the heads up display. Meanwhile you can enjoy a little Sirius Radio on the premium Hardon Kardon sound system. That is if you can't be bothered to connect your smartphone (via cable or bluetooth) and stream Pandora or Spotify instead. If your journey requires a little highway time you can engage the adaptive cruise control and let the car adjust to the ebb and flow of traffic for you while you save your right foot for more interesting pursuits later.
And when later comes you can flick a switch to engage Sport Mode and feel the car come alive under that right foot. Want the eight-speed automatic to do its part? Just lean the gearshift into "M/S" and hold onto lower gears a little longer, still shifting automatically. Want to take control? The shift paddles are right there on the steering wheel. And don't worry if the road is a little twisty as the sport seats will hold you in place quite nicely as you round each curve...
Hopefully you get the idea. This is a really great car and she's looking for really great renters who will take good care of her. If you're flying into BWI for the week or just want to get out and about in the DC/Baltimore area for a long weekend, this car is a great choice. There IS a hidden hitch mount for a bike rack (loaded, remember?) which I can provide for an extra charge.
Premium 93 Fuel only of course when filling up, and keep your receipt please.
IMPORTANT: Before proposing a reservation please fill out your profile and become an approved driver.
I work from home full-time so the car is available pretty much anytime, but not necessarily on super short notice as I will have to coordinate our other car on those days. If you just want to have a nice long "test drive+lunch" experience and don't mind paying the daily rate for it, the 9AM - 2:30PM M-F slot will almost always be available, even on short notice. Just drive to my house and grab the key. If you can get to or near Laurel or Odenton, MD (e.g. the MARC Train Stations), I can pick you up pretty easily and am OK with single day rentals. Otherwise I ask a 3-day minimum. In that case I'm happy to pick up and drop off at BWI Airport, or Greenbelt or Glenmont Metro stations. You will just have to pick me up and drop me off at the house near Laurel, MD, or you can cover the cost of a cab when I need to get home from any of those places. I'm generally pretty adaptable though so if you have another idea feel free to ask.
