Honolulu is a feast for the senses. Mellow out on the beach or rent a car and drive around the island, and be sure to knock these off your Oahu bucket list.
A local favorite, Spam musubi is a must-try — don’t knock it ‘til you’ve tried it. Or drive your rental car around until you’ve found your favorite garlic shrimp truck on the island.
Locals treasure their local secrets, but rumor has it there are caves beneath the Moiliili neighborhood, a bench built into a tree somewhere on the South Shore, and a wallaby colony in Kalihi.
While not off the beaten path at all, it’s a must-visit. If you take your Turo car, get there early since the lot fills up quickly.
