This is such a great vehicle! I've owned it since it's infancy and it has treated me very well. I keep it very clean on the inside, the outside definitely has a few minor dings, dents and scratches - that's what happens when you take it on the mountain back roads in Colorado :).
V6 automatic engine for plenty of oomph - Sports edition
Fold-flat rear seats
Great heating and A/C
Audio jack for your iPod or phone; I'll also leave a case of CD's in the glove compartment for you
3 DC outputs (one in the cargo area)
Tons of cargo space
Roof rails so you can attach whatever toy-toting system you want
Optional ski rack can be attached to the roof rails (please let me know if you need it before you pick up)
Optional 2-bike bike rack can be attached to the spare tire (please let me know if you need it before you pick up)
Class II hitch - I moved myself from Houston to Denver with the largest trailer available from U-Haul (although electric hook-ups are not available)
4WD available (you have to push a button to engage it; only available at speeds under 25 MPH)
Safety kit in hidden compartment under false floor in cargo area
Cargo cover and cargo net available; can be removed and stored in hidden compartment under false floor in cargo area to make room for more stuff
Pets welcome :)
***Please keep in mind, winter is serious out here, especially if you use my car to go up to the mountains. I have good all-season tires but they're not snow tires and certainly not studded tires. Just be smart and safe and drive SLOWLY on the ice and you'll be fine.***
If you're not particularly tall (I'm 5'6") you could sleep two with the back seats folded down. I've taken this beauty on several long road trips and it's sooo nice to just fold down the back seats and throw a sleeping mat and bag in the back. This would be great if you've come to CO to do some peak-bagging, I often just sleep in the back at trailheads - no packing up camp for pre-dawn summit bids :).
AIRPORT PICKUPS - 2 options:
1. Please give me a call when you're ready to pick up the vehicle. Provided my schedule allows, I'm willing to drive to DIA for an extra $35 each way, you will have to drop me off/pick me up. As my car only seats five (5) with seatbelts this option is only available if you have four (4) or fewer riders.
2. If you'd rather just meet me at the airport and not drive me back to my house / pick me up at my house for your return, or if you have MORE THAN FOUR (4) passengers it is $80 each way cash only to me so I can get a taxi home.
I'm willing to do a mixture of both of the above if that works for you as well. When reserving please let me know which option you'd prefer and I'll let you know if that works with my schedule. My availability is subject to change until you actually book.
Other airports are negotiable.
ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR AIRPORT DROP OFF / PICK UP IF YOU'RE GOING TO THE MOUNTAINS:
On the way home I'd recommend you shoot to get to my house (South Central Denver) by 3 hours prior to your plane departure, and perhaps earlier if the weather looks bad.
In perfect traffic conditions the Summit County resorts (Breck, Keystone, A-Basin) and Winter Park/Mary Jane are 1.5 hours away from my house. Vail's about 2 and you need to factor in whether Vail Pass may close due to accidents. It's not unheard of for it to take 6+ hours to get back from Vail, and 4+ from Summit County/WP areas. I myself got stuck in Minturn for an extra night in March of last year when we had surprisingly heavy snow and they closed the pass. Keep in mind these times are to get to South-Central Denver; the airport is an additional ~30 minutes east.
