Having a full detail shop & car wash at an off-airport parking lot this car will be delivered very clean with a full tank of fuel, and completely maintained, just like a BMW should be!!! This BMW is in perfect working condition and always serviced by a BMW professional maintenance facilities. This vehicle is a 2013 BMW X5 Premium. This car has a lot of excitement and is easy to drive and you will feel secure as you drive in Utah. Smoking or vaping in this car is absolutely not allowed and you will be charged $300 if you smoke in the car as advised by insurance comp, we have a two step verification process. When picking up your rental car from “The Park n’ Jet” located at 2200 West North Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84116 I will pull the car out in front of our parking office entrance. When you arrive, walk up to the entrance booth and show them your drivers license and they will give you a welcome packet with your keys in it. In the app, under trip photos, you will see pictures of the car that is parked typically along the corner fence in the front parking entrance lot. You will need to upload in the app a copy of your license prior to arriving at the car. When you arrive at the car, please take a picture of you standing by the license plate. Also, take a picture of your driver's license in your hand with your face and the car license plate showing in the picture, take pictures of all sides of the car, the odometer, and the gas gauge. Upload all of these pictures under trip photos in the app. This allows both of us to qualify for insurance. Once you are on your way, please message us on the app and let us know you have received the car. Please follow these detailed instructions as we have found this process to be the most efficient.

FAQ

  • What are the Airport Pick Up and Delivery Options?

    The airport has been fining car sharing clients $1000.00 so this option is tricky until the legislation is passed and the airport cooperates with the future of car rentals. This is not an option on the app. Please call us directly.

  • What are the Hotel Pick Up and Delivery Options?

    The keys will be delivered in an envelope to the hotel's front desk or to the bell desk, with pick up and drop off instructions.

  • Can I have a Delivery to a Personal Location?

    The car can be delivered directly to your address with advance notice.

  • What happens if I am Late Picking up the Car or Dropping it off?

    You will need to change your trip details date and time in the app. This will make the times and dates match and verify if the car is available. When picking it up, it will typically be the same instructions you received to pick up the car. If you are going to be late, you could be interfering with the next potential renter. By-law in many states, we have to report the car as missing after 1 hour so we can make sure we are covered, so please make sure you are on time or have changed your trip details.

  • Are the Miles for a trip Flexible?

    Yes, you can choose it as an extra for a small fee.

  • Do I need to Return the Car Washed and Cleaned?

    Yes, it is customary when renting cars out from a car sharing platform, that you return them washed and cleaned and prepared for the next renter.

  • What happens if I put the Wrong Type of Fuel in a Vehicle?

    Most of our cars use Premium Fuel only, if proper fuel is not used you will gum up the catalytic converter which in some of my cars is $2500 to repair. It is very costly if the wrong gas is used and would be at your expense. We will do our best to work it out with your insurance company, but it isn’t often covered.

  • If I lock the Keys in the Car or lose the Keys what Happens?

    Most cars need to be towed to the dealership to have computerized machines reprogram the keys to the make and model of car. So it typically costs a towing fee, a replacement fob, and then a key reprogramming fee. This can be as high as $750 in expenses. Please do not lose or lock keys in the car.

  • What Should I know about Insurance and how it Works?

    You should check with your own personal insurance company and make sure you are covered when renting a car from a car sharing company insurance program. We have learned that often there are different rules for car sharing companies with your credit card insurance and with your own personal insurance as we are not a car rental company. You need to make sure you are covered. If there is a problem, we will be contacting your insurance company and working directly with them.

  • What happens if I get into a Wreck?

    We ask you to text us on the app immediately and we will assist in the proper steps to take. We will make sure we qualify for coverage with your personal insurance company. You will want to call the local police station and get an accident report number. Also, you will need to get a copy of the other party's drivers license and insurance information. After messaging us on the app, you can text me directly at 801-864-1009 or one of my co-host numbers will be inside the glove box.

  • I accidently got a Crack in the Windshield. What should I do?

    A couple options are, you can take it to a local windshield glass shop and return the car as you received it or we can have shops we work with fix it after the trip. However, you will pay a small convenience fee and up to the cost of the windshield.

  • The Car has a Check Engine Light or Tire Pressure Monitor Light on, what happens?

    Before each rentall we do all we can to make sure the check engine lights are off and the tire pressure monitors are working and we check them before and after each trip. However, if something does go wrong, we will contact our mechanic and communicate with him what is happening and he will give us direct feedback. 97% of the time the check engine lights are not a problem, and with the different temperatures in Utah the Tire Pressures Maintenance Lights often go on and off with the change of temperature.

  • What happens if the Tires look like they Need to be Replaced and I am Concerned?

    We want you to feel safe in our cars. We equip all our cars with all season tires. We believe these are the most cost efficient and effective tires on the market especially with the snowy days in Utah. We want you to feel comfortable with the tires on your car. If for any reason, you feel they need to be replaced, we will replace them. We have contracts with several tire locations up and down the Wasatch Front.

  • What happens if the Car Breaks Down and I need a New Vehicle?

    With being one of the largest hosts in Utah, we can assist you with this better than most. I will look through my personal inventory and typically replace your car with a nicer and newer car than the one you rented.

  • What happens if there are Small Dings, Scratches and Rim Rash?

    We ask for you to be responsible and do your best to avoid these little tiny issues. We understand things are going to happen, but they do hurt the resale value of our cars. We ask you to let us know about the little things that happen to a car and if it is large enough and a big enough issue, we will ask for compensation.

We did have a hiccup, but I can say that working with Jay was the difference on this trip. We were able to work it out and he made us satisfied with our trip. Customer service was the thing that saved the trip, could have been a total nightmare but working with Jay made it very easy. Would use them again if we were in the area.
