We have a couple of guidelines for this vehicle for you to review before booking your reservation. No Smoking is allowed in the vehicle. If any smoking is detected, it's a $150 fine. While the vehicle looks like it climbs a mountain, its primary purpose is to be a street vehicle with limited weather conditions that may require four-wheel drive. Please, no off-roading in the car. The hard top cover is not to be removed during your rental. The size and weight of this cover is impressive and not made to be removed without some additional equipment to help. However, the T-Top Covers on the vehicle can be removed, provided it's sunny out. These are not to be released in the rain, and the renter will be responsible for any damage to the car. The Car features and comes with a charger to charge the battery on board. That charger is difficult to replace due to supply shortages. With that said, if the charger goes missing or is damaged, there is a replacement fee for that charger. Please ensure to fill up after your rental by returning the fuel to the same level you took it. We will charge the prepaid fuel surcharge in addition to the gas cost.

• Does this car have an electric battery on board? Where do I charge it?

  Yes, it does! You will charge it with either the charger in the back of the Jeep (the long way) or finding a 240v Charger (Electrify America is one option) that should have up to 100% within 2 hours of charging. We have charged it overnight and found that it is easily fully recharged by morning.

• How do I get the Bike Rack for the Jeep?

  When making your reservation, please select the items as "Extras" during the reservation process. If you need to add it after your reservation please reach out to us directly.

• What apps do you recommend for finding a charging station?

  Plugshare is a great resource here, and I would recommend downloading it and using it to help you find reliable charging locations. The Jeep takes a J-1772 charger, and filtering to that in the App will help you dial in on where to find those locations. P.S. Lots of public locations use the J1772 Charger.

• Hybrid vs. Gas

  As noted above, this is a Hybrid Jeep. It's a great combo when you are looking for that fun vehicle that gives you great gas mileage. There are three driving modes for the car. The first is "Hybrid," the default mode for the Jeep. Depletes electric range first, then switches to gas. Here, you experience the best acceleration and HVAC performance. The Second is "Electric." The engine is prevented from starting (unless needed), and the vehicle is powered exclusively by the battery. The Third is "E-Save" Use gas for power exclusively, saving battery power for another time. You can find these modes located on the left-hand side of the dashboard, directly to the left of the steering wheel.

• Does breaking with the car regenerate the battery?

  Yes! As long as you have the "Max-Regeneration" Turned on. This feature remaps the accelerator pedal to command more aggressive regeneration at low pedal positions. With this feature, you can slow the car without the brake pedal. A complete stop still requires you to use the brake pedal.

• Am I required to return the vehicle with a charge?

  No. its a Hybrid. The only ask is that the Tank is returned to what you took the car out at.

• How long should it take to charge the car?

  If you're using the charger that comes with the car, it can take all night. If you can find a Level 2 Charger (Electrify America, Charge Point, or the like), it can be done in less than 2 hours. It's completely optional to charge the vehicle. You can run on the Hybrid or E-Save mode just fine using Gas the whole time.
