Very disappointed with this vehicle. Had hidden car issues putting me and my family in danger. Car was jerking on the freeway and key wasn’t being detected even when in vehicle. Owner knew about the issues and just waved them off. They were quick to respond but didn’t solve my problems, gave me another car with different issues which might be worse. I highly advise you to rent from someone else.

I have rented multiple cars from this group and have always had a positive experience until now. This may be the oldest vehicle I’ve rented as I needed a lot of room to transport kids around Anaheim for the week. The car gets a 5 star for being clean and comfortable, roomy and a smooth ride. Does not have a backup camera, which isn’t listed and is fine, and does not have the listed bluetooth. However, I have never once checked the tires on any of their vehicles or anyone I’ve rented from on Turo, but will from now on. I was staying over an hour away from the pick up and drop off… also worth mentioning, this group is now within airport borders so there will be an airport fee tacked on by Turo due to a recent contract agreement, host doesn’t control, but it’s a bit misleading because u can also now have the car picked up for free at the airport and couldn’t in the past. I was charged this new airport fee retroactively from when I made the reservation and it was a surprise. On the second to last or last day of the trip I got the indicator of low tire pressure. I stopped and checked all the tires and found one front tire to be a few pounds under the recommended pressure. Then a day later the other tire… on return day the indicator came on again and I began transporting kids to the airport and let the host know they may have a slow leak happening with one of the tires. I heard nothing. I made my way to the airport as I was the last person to head out and on the freeway the car started shaking so I figured it was a flat once I got to safety of a small shoulder area I was able to get out and look to see the entire tire was gone, a complete blow out. I reached out to the host who simply said go to a tire shop. I said it’s gone there’s no tire. I contacted Turo roadside who told me they would get a tow truck out to take to the host and to continue on to the airport. Since I couldn’t get a Lyft or Uber to a freeway shoulder I asked the tow guy to drop me with the car so I could go from there, host still not responding as I was keeping him up to date on everything Turo was saying. He finally answers when I’m 5 mins away that I can’t drop off the car to him undriveable and to go to a tire place… he listed three names. I said I don’t know where any of these are. He then says call ahead and make sure they have the tire size. I told him I don’t have the tire size as it’s behind me on a flatbed. He finally gives me a tire size and it’s wrong anyway. The tow guy drops me at the one closest to the drop off address on century Blvd., and I get Stu k paying $44 more dollars in tip of over $300 more to get a new flight because at this point my original flight is gone. I ask if he will forgive the gas tank being at 1/4 less and got no response so after the tire was fixed I just got a gas station and filled up. Strangely tho when I got the car it has over 450 miles to empty on a full tank but I filled up 3 times and never saw it lost more than 363 miles to empty. The host tells me that flats are guests responsibility and that I must have hit a nail which caused this… but I disagree because when the tire place pulled off the slivers of what was left you could see all the belts poking thru, that was most likely causing the slow leak and later the dangerous blow out.i never had issues before with Astro and I’ve very disappointed that they didn’t value a relationship I had for the last 3 years my son has lived in CA going to college there. They have nice cars at reasonable rates, but be aware that they are now within airport range and be sure to check the tires… run ur fingers around the tire to see if anything sharp is sticking out like steel belts, see if you can bring one of the tire measuring cards to see how much tread is left because the host believes tires are good for 6 years which is crazy in CA heat. Keep your family safe. I was luckily alone and had no kids with me, I also drive for a living so was able to maintain the vehicle until I could get safely to the side, but a less experienced driver may not and I was in heavy traffic doing 65-70th with flow of traffic. I will not rent from them again due to his poor communication and lack of sense of urgency and willingness to help, and I am not sure I will use Turo again either since they have contradictory instructions. This whole thing was a shame and I’m very upset and angry at how it was handled. I was a good customer and sadly that wasn’t enough.

The car has a smoke smell and doesn’t have a backup camera . Otherwise it’s pretty good 👍
