If you're picking the vehicle up rather than getting it delivered, it will be waiting in one of the visitor parking spaces to the left of my building's entrance. You can return it to any available visitor spot at the end of your trip. My building is in the heart of downtown Toronto, right next door to the Wellesley subway station. I recommend picking it up if possible, as it allows you to start and end your trip within the rental window at your convenience.

No Smoking: Smoking is not allowed in the vehicle. This includes any form of tobacco, cannabis, or vaping. Pets: Pets are welcome, but you must pay the pet fee and use the provided pet liner for the back seat to keep the car clean and comfortable for future guests. Cleanliness: Please return the vehicle in the same clean state you received it. Excessive dirt or clutter may incur a cleaning fee. Charging: The vehicle must be returned with the same charge level it had at the start of your rental. If not, a charging fee may apply. Driver Only: As per Turo's policy, the person who rented the car should be the only one driving it. Safety: Always adhere to local traffic laws and speed limits for your safety and the vehicle's care. No Off-roading: This car is not designed for off-road or heavy-duty use. Stick to paved roads to prevent any damage. Car Seats: If you're traveling with children, use suitable child restraint systems per the law. Food & Drink: Light snacks and drinks in resealable containers are allowed in the vehicle. Please avoid consuming meals or drinks that can easily spill to prevent odors and stains. Tolls & Parking Tickets: Guests are responsible for any tolls or parking violations incurred during their trip.

• How can I charge your electric car?

  En route, you can use any public charging station, including Tesla's vast Supercharger network. When you plug your destination into the navigation, the car automatically routes you to the Supercharger stations that will get you there most efficiently. For charging at your destinations, opt for the "Generator" Extra to use a mobile charging kit that I will leave in the front trunk (aka frunk) with any standard electrical outlet.

• I've never driven a Tesla before. Is that a problem?

  Not at all. Teslas are user-friendly. Upon request, I can provide a curated list of video tutorials that will help you familiarize yourself with the car's features and operation. • What kind of driving range does your Tesla Model Y have?

  You can typically travel between 350 and 400 kilometers on a full charge, depending on driving conditions (e.g., weather and whether you are driving in the city or on highways). With Tesla Superchargers strategically located across Canada, you can comfortably travel nationwide. The touchscreen plans your Supercharger stops for long trips every 250 to 350 kilometers. A charging session at a Supercharger usually takes between 15 and 30 minutes, giving you plenty of time for a meal or coffee break.

• Do I need to return the car fully charged?

  You can expect the car to be at least 50% charged when you pick it up. If returning with the same charge level may be difficult due to your trip schedule, consider adding the "Prepaid EV Recharge" Extra to your booking. This Extra allows you to return the car with a minimum of 15% charge. Please be aware that Turo's standard fees apply if the car is returned with less than the same charge level without this added Extra.

• What does Tesla's Full Self-Driving (Supervised) technology enable?

  This software allows the vehicle to drive almost anywhere. It can change lanes, navigate around other vehicles and objects, make turns, and park. While it offers significant capabilities, the system is not fully autonomous. Users must remain alert, keep their hands on the steering wheel, and be ready to intervene whenever necessary, as they ultimately control the vehicle and remain responsible for it at all times. • What does your Tesla's Basic Autopilot enable?

  The Basic Autopilot on my Tesla includes features like adaptive cruise control and Autosteer. These features automatically adjust your speed to maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead and keep your car centered in its lane, making driving less cognitively demanding. This means you can get to your destination feeling more refreshed and alert. Engage Autopilot by pulling down on the right steering wheel stalk while driving. Despite its advantages, Autopilot is a hands-on driver assistance system that does not make the car autonomous. You are ultimately in control of the vehicle. Remain fully alert and always keep your hands on the steering wheel to guard against complacency. While using caution, be ready to take over from Autopilot when necessary, as you are responsible for the vehicle whether or not Autopilot is engaged.
