Drive the future in this high-tech Chevrolet Volt. If you've ever been curious about what it's like to drive an electric car, or maybe you're just looking for a quiet, refined car that is also good on gas, you should check out my Chevy Volt. It is capable of silent, electric commuting for the first 38 miles (EPA rated) and also capable of driving coast-to-coast with its on-board gas generator. With regular charging, you can drive in-town every day almost solely on electric and still be able to take a road trip should the desire takes you. My Volt is loaded with comfort, convenience, and safety features that make it a great choice for your needs. And with 273 ft-lbs of instant torque, it's a pretty fun car to drive as well. Comfort: - Heated leather and suede seats - Automatic climate control - Bose stereo with Bluteooth - Remote start Convenience - Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio connectivity - Front and rear parking sensors with a backup camera - Built-in GPS Navigation - Keyless Entry and keyless start - Auto-dimming mirror - EPA-rated 38 mile electric range, approx 380 mile total range Safety - Lane Departure warning - Frontal Collision warning - 8 airbags: Front and Side airbags, plus Knee Bolsters and Side Curtains airbags - Traction control and stability control - IIHS Top Safety Pick+ for 2014 My car is located near a metro, with easy access if you are flying into DCA. With 24-hours notice, I will try to make sure the car is fully charged, with a full tank of gas.

The car has a Zone 4 permit. Make sure the area you are parked is marked for Zone 4 parking and pay attention to Street Cleaning rules.
If you anticipate that other people may drive the car, make sure they are approved to drive through Turo. No unapproved drivers will be allowed to drive. Please, no smoking. I will have to charge an additional $250 cleaning fee if the car has been smoked in. Pets are allowed, but I ask that you keep them contained to avoid damages and I ask that you take a moment to make sure the car is clean before returning. I do have a pet seat cover for the back seat available on request. The car will include the 120v L1 EVSE (charge cable). If this is not returned with the car, a replacement fee will be levied. I will make sure the car has a full tank of gas, and a full charge (with a 24-hour notice). Please return the car with a full tank of premium gas (a receipt would be appreciated). No need to return it charged!
How do I charge your electric car?
A 110-volt charger will be delivered with the car. This can be plugged into any standard wall outlet and will charge the car from empty in 10-15 hours. There are also charging stations throughout the area. I recommend downloading the PlugShare app to locate convenient charging stations. Keep in mind, if you are unable to charge the car, you can still drive the Volt on gas. Please return the car with a full tank!

Robert keeps his Volt spotless, and it worked great. The first 30 miles or so out of town is totally electric, and after that it operates like a typical hybrid, alternating between gas and charge. It requires hi-octane gas (i.e., the expensive one), but it's only about 7-8 gallons to fill up, and you fill up less often because of the hybrid-ness. Robert called and walked me through the car when I was getting started, which was very nice and appreciated.

Robert and his car could not have been better. I was so impressed by his communication, professionalism, and thoughtfulness. He makes sure everything is perfect and clearly takes a lot of pride in his work. The car worked perfectly! Easy to drive, easy to park, and it was so great to have something so fuel efficient and save a little money on gas. If you're looking to rent a car in DC, rent this one! You won't find a better host or vehicle.
