The experience with Michael is one I wish to forget. I rented a vehicle from Turo and what I found out is that There is only WiFi communication in used. I call Michael before the car was delivered and I got no response from his phone. I then got a statement that I have to communicate via the Turo app which uses only WiFi. This means there is no emails, no phones by which contact can be made with Michael. while traveling. Once I left the airport there was no way to contact Michael. I traveled to a very remote part of Philadelphia, where there is no WiFi. I anticipated that I would be returning earlier than expected and I was then made aware there is a fee for that and according to his policy which was made available after signing for the vehicle. His policy states that late fees would be charged just as early return fees. The delivery was late, I asked if there is a discount for that , I got no response. There is no way one can determined the exact time of arrival from such a long journey, given construction , accidents , weather and all the other variables but any variation to the time given to Michael is what one would be charged for . Extra if you are late and extra if you are early. His policy also, states that the vehicle would be picked on return . . On my return I was informed by Michael that there is no one available to pick up the vehicle and there is no where to left the vehicle . As it turned out , I was expected to sit and wait until 10:00 pm, which was my initial anticipated time of return . I thought the responsible thing to do was to take the care to Michael. As it turned out, Michael took that as my good will gesture to him with not even the common courtesy of arranging transportation back to the airport. As a result , I missed my flight and had to take a taxi to the airport. It was at that time that I got access to WiFi and could have communicated with Michael. What I wish to make known , is that this service gives one the experience of entrapment. Where any variation comes with a cost to the client and those incurred on Michael’s part is not anything to consider.. I was charged $120. delivery charge but him failing to pick up his vehicle and I having to do the return delivery is free. This service is very limited in its options given to clients for communication, return of vehicle and customer satisfaction is very poor. Michael has no remedial measures for any infractions of his own policies. Not even an apology. Apparently, I was wrong to use his service.

Using this app is for some reason incredibly difficult for me. It’s probably just because I’m an idiot but I won’t be using TURO again.
