The vehicle itself was fantastic—smooth, fast, and packed with next-level tech. Truly a great ride, and I’d give the car 5 stars on its own.
Unfortunately, the rental experience was frustrating. I was informed just before my scheduled pickup time that the car wouldn’t be ready—it still needed to be cleaned and charged. I adjusted my plans and picked it up two hours later, only to find the car parked at a very busy car wash with no one there to assist. Despite the delay, the car hadn’t been cleaned; there was trash, hair, and even a diaper in the seat pocket.
The car was also handed off with only 18% battery, which barely got me home. I spent over two hours trying to find a working charger, which really ate into the start of my trip. This was especially frustrating since I had paid the $25 fee to return the car without charging it. To the host’s credit, they were very apologetic and refunded the fee.
One important note for future renters: pickup and dropoff are handled through a third-party car wash, and there’s no one onsite to assist with the process. I really hope the handoff logistics and cleaning are improved going forward, because the car deserves a much better rental experience.
