    The van’s cargo space dimensions are: 9 feet long, 6 feet wide and 58 inches high. The wheel wells are approximately 11 inches wide per side and about 10 inches high.

  • Suppose I want to travel beyond a 200 mile radius from the pickup location in Jersey City?

    Longer trips are welcome but will be charged an additional amount depending on the distance. Generally the extra charge will work out to approx $.50/per mile. Please let us know your plans so we can give a firm price.

I’ve been a member for well over 4 years; I’ve rented sports cars to cars like this and I have never had an issue with a turo rental, except this one. I know my cars and respect my cars, so here’s the story. The battery wouldn’t hold the charge in this vehicle, so the vehicle had been inoperable for 13 hours, well into remainder of the trip. I had people help me jump start it, I completed my business trip (1st cousins wedding). Understandable, machines break down, just like humans, however, it’s how situations are dealt with. There was no assistance or accountability whatsoever from his end. Says it right in the turo handbook. Not a free loader, never have been, however, here’s the important part. He had scheduled a “member” from his team to meet with me at 9am so I can return to my car where the drop off location was. That never happened. No money back, no how can I help you, nothing. Perhaps it was a robot I was communicating with only through text, who was trying to resemble some sort of empathetic customer service. In fact, I had to come out of my pocket along with time (most valuable), to return to my vehicle. He would only communicate through text which I mentioned above. Once I finally checked this thing out, the claim process through turo isn’t the friendliest. Anyhow, a lot of time lost & money. Use caution here.

While it is true that the battery died the rest of the story is simply not true. We are not sure why the battery died BUT the guest called us and help arrived within 15 minutes at 12:30 in the morning! We jumped the van and swapped the battery so the guest could finish his trip . Problem solved. The guest lost about 30 minutes of time. The van also now has a brand new Duralast battery with a 2 year warranty. Occasionally things happen but we don’t leave our guests stranded.
