My day job is as a professional services engineer for a major technology company. This job requires a lot of travel and experience with rental car companies. After the 10th time in a year of getting screwed over by traditional rental car companies and being left stranded in the middle of nowhere with a canceled "reservation" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4T2GmGSNvaM) I discovered Turo. In the middle of the night after getting off a long plane ride I was able to rent a nice Ford Fusion after a short uber ride from the airport. The car was super clean and the owner was super nice. It was the best car rental experience I ever had. Now, when I travel I turn to Turo first for all car rentals (business and personal). Once, I started researching Turo back home I discovered that there is a market for affordable cars for people that just need to get from A to B. Spending $60+ a day for a Kia really isn't practical and is a total ripoff. Therefore, I try to offer a lot of affordable cars at affordable prices and the one off car I want to drive and think you should too. Outside of my work life I am a dad to an awesome 7 year old cub scout. I spend my free time training my German Shepherd, hiking over all the great trails in the US, and watching Netflix shows like Stranger Things, Mindhunter, and whatever SciFi garbage shows I can find. I am a life long born and raised Pittsburgher and can recommend where to go, what to see, and anything else you want to know about this awesome city and the surrounding countryside.
