One of the worst experiences I ever had due to host's (Srikant’s) un-professionalism. When I went to pick up the car, Srikant handover me the keys and took a picture of the dashboard to keep the record of the mileage. While I driving the car, I found there is a warning light showing up on the dashboard. I called Srikant and ask what is that warning, as I rented the car for two families with kids, so safety was very important for me. He told me he forgot to check the air in the tire and also keep the car clean. For the warning, he asked me to go to the tire shop and fill the air. I co-operated with him and went to the gas station and fill up the air. Surprisingly when I was at the gas station, I inspected the interior of the vehicle and I found the car interior is disgusting. I posted the pictures and communication with him here for you guys to see the car condition - http://bit.ly/sri-dirty-car . I called him up, again he made excuse and asked me to go and get the car cleaned and he could pay for the cleaning --what!! I was surprised and wondered - did I rent a car from him or is he rented me his car to get his responsibilities taken care by me? Then I called up Turo customer care and they said they will talk to host and get back to me. And they also told me they will give me a partial refund due to these inconveniences after talking to the host. Since we were running out of the time and we had to start our long drive, so we did not have the option to wait longer and get these issues resolved by customer care. So we drove with the dirtiest car of my life. After returning the vehicle, I called up customer care and they said the host doesn't think there were any issues where he should be apologetic and think about a partial refund, even though the car was dirty and without enough air in the tire. My suggestion - avoid renting this vehicle and dealing with a host like Srikant. This is the problem with crowdsourced service. Because of a few bad hosts (like Srikant), I lost my confidence in Turo as well. Don't just believe what you read on the site.

Hi Jay - sorry for your negative experience. I think you are overreacting. Yes I forgot to clean the car as I got busy. However, the air went low only over that night due to the cold weather. If you look at all my other reviews, everyone else has given me 5 stars. So your experience is an outlier.

The van had a magnetic phone mount that worked great with my phone. Stikant was easy to work with to arrange pick up and drop off times.
