The host (Abla) is GREAT. Very responsive, friendly, even waived a cleaning fee that I wasn’t aware of when returning the car (apparently you need to spin through a car wash before returning). Our only issue was not having 4WD on mountainy, snowy roads. We got into two very hairy situations that could have caused a serious crash and all riders were from snowy climates so are not newbies in to driving in the snow. We made the assumption it would have 4WD, that assumption is our mistake. Looking back now, the description does mention it is rear wheel drive. The chains provided were not the correct size for the car. Though we are not experts with tire chains, we were not able to put them on. After further review the tire size listed on the tire itself was not on the list of compatible tires as shown on the chain manufacturer’s website for that model chain. I don’t enjoy giving a subpar review and even try to avoid it but when it comes to the safety of future renters I need to pass this along: please know this car does not have 4WD and the chains for the rear wheels may not fit. Other than that, the car (though a bit old and loud) did the trick and had plenty of room to hold 4 guys, their skis, ski boots, and clothes. We would rent from Abla any day of the week, but may not choose the Expedition outside of the months May through September due to the potential for snowy conditions.

You know from the beginning it was rear wheel drive, and you can contact turo and see, it was listed that the car is not all wheel. I have other options for all wheel but you chose to pick this one. Now for the chain size, I have told you this is the only car that I have rear wheel drive and I have other customers used the same chain. It is not my problem if you do not how to use the chain or driving in snow. Next time read the description carefully. I have told you that when you picked car.
