Well first off, are we going to be friends? My friends call Randy.
I was born, raised and schooled in America's Last Frontier, Alaska. I learned to drive in a Jeep, about the same color as Bloo, and enjoy sharing Alaska with visitors. What could be better than seeing Alaska in a Jeep?
How did I get hooked on cars on the frontier, Tanacross and Crosley. During WWII Tanacross, just down the road from my home town of Tok, was a refueling station for lend lease aircraft going to the Russian front.
Later in the 60's and on into today the abandon airfield is an excellent field expedient race track. And in the late sixties, my father a transplant from Plymouth , Michigan took the family out to watch the amateur sports car races. I'm sure it was some sort of rear engine formula V open wheel racecar, black with white numbers that infected me with the gearhead virus.
Favorite cars: Ford GT 40, '64 Jaguar V12 XKE, '70 Ford Mustang, MGB, Austin Healey 3000 MkIII ...
Any way when you stop by we'll sit on the back deck drink some local brew and I'll tell you about log cabins, bears in the breeze way, and why I'm Randy every day.
All the best,
Thomas R. Daly
