I would probably give a 3.5, but definitely not going to give 4 stars. The van is a little older and it smells like you cleaned your teenagers car and couldn’t get the smell out. I put baking soda on the carpet and put an air freshener in the car and after 4 days the smell came back. Seats had stains on them, but seeing how we were traveling with a bunch of teenager boys it didn’t matter much. The van at first had me nervous because it felt like the transmission was slipping, but probably just my imagination. Overall the van ran fine and with it fully loaded with food, kids and fireworks I averaged over 18 mpg. So that was a surprise. I guess for a van that is 6 years old and 110000 miles it runs excellent. But the smell definitely drops the rating.
Then the reservation was made months in advance and the day before pick up I found out I had to drive 40 miles round trip extra. This was for pick up and drop off. If someone rents a vehicle and the pick up location is listed the company should honor it. 40 miles may not seem like a big deal but that is about 45-60 minutes of my time each day(pick up and drop off) which is irritating when you are paying 1200$ for the rental. The company should have just met me at the original destination, sort of like enterprise.
Thank you for renting out your vehicles I know it must be stressful, but if you are going to rent it out it can’t just be vacuumed out for 1200, it needs to have stainless seats and no smell.
I would probably rent with this host again because of their ratings, but not this vehicle. I would also probably cancel next time if I had other choices due to the smell.

Host was super responsive and helped us rent the van on a last minute notice. Super clean and well maintained, although exterior does have some dings, it didn’t interfere with the van performance. Rented with them last year too! Would recommend!

Van made a lot of noises when breaking and driving. Lots of dings and dents on the vehicle upon pick up. Just in general not a very nice van. Fit all of our 10 passengers and luggage. Got the job done but was expensive for what it was.
