Guidelines

*** Please note, there will be a $200 fee for missing key fob. Please be sure to keep it secure. *** Please remember smoking of ANY type (ie vaping, cannabis, cigarettes) is strictly prohibited! This is a TURO policy. A fee of at least $500 will be assessed for cleaning/detailing/damages/lost rental revenue every time this occurs. *** Pets are allowed in the vehicles only if you have added it on as an “Extra” and give us 48 hours notice. We have to detail the vehicles everytime after a pet is in any vehicle. We put special seat covers on the car seats so we MUST have you make the request. If you put a Pet in any of our cars without this additional prepaid/preplanned “Extra” you will be assessed a minimum $250 damage and cleaning fee. Please just let us know so we can take the steps necessary to keep our future guest safe and comfortable. *** Early or Late Pick Up and Drop Off- We will accommodate late returns whenever we can for your convenience however we do keep all of our vehicles busy. That means there may not be availability and we can’t change another reservation to extend yours. Please be understanding of our situation and know we will do our best to accommodate you. For Early Drop-Off you must notify us of your need as soon as you are aware of it. You will need to submit a request thru TURO and I have to approve the request before you can drop the car off early. Please return the vehicle to the same parking area you picked it up in. It doesn't have to be the same spot but the same lot is important. You must keep the vehicle until the end of your reservations period. If you have to drop it off early you may return it to the lot you picked it up in, notify us, and you will be responsible for the parking fees incurred until the end of your rental period. If we can accommodate a reservation change we will. Until it has been accepted you are responsible for the vehicle and to check it in on the original booking time and date. Please do not abandon our vehicles. *** Children must be in carseats at all times in our vehicles in accordance with Arizona Law. We have several car seats available to reserve in our “EXTRAs”. Please identify if you need infant, toddler, or booster seats with a message notifying us of your need at booking. *** All Changes needed to your reservation must be submitted thru the Turo App by the Guest. Hosts can not change a reservation. We can only accept requests. Until the request has been approved through the Turo App we have not agreed to the change and our original contract and terms are binding.

  • Isn't this truck just for work and towing big loads?

    It is definitely built for that, but isn't only a work truck! It is fun to drive and is an amazing ride for the driver and up to 5 passengers (it holds 6 with 2 in the middle of the front and rear seats).

  • Is this truck slow and sluggish on the road?

    The exact opposite! This truck is fast and very smooth! Be careful on the highway you will easily be running at 95 mph when it only seems like 65!

  • Aren't diesel's engines dirty and polluting?

    Modern consumer diesel engines are extremely efficient and also clean burning. Today's emissions standards make this engine very clean compared to just 10-15 years ago. There is no foul odors, no black smoke, and this truck weighs more than 2x a normal sedan that gets 21 mpg and still performs at up to 18mpg. This diesel burns fuel cleaner than most gasoline engines.

  • Is this truck loud and obnoxious driving down the road?

    Not at all! Around town it has a subtle deep hum. On the highway it is super quiet and a pleasure to drive! It's equipped with street tires instead of offroad tires which is a major factor in noise reduction and ride comfort.

  • What do I do if I use gasoline?

    If you accidentally put gas in this truck, DON’T TURN IT ON. Even a little. Call me immediately. This will save $1000’s of dollars in repairs.

  • What type of fuel do I use?

    Diesel.

  • Can I use my own insurance?

    You do need to check with your own insurance carrier to make sure you are covered in the event of an accident or damage. Turo offers a protection plan for Guests that you may or may not need based upon your own coverages. It will help everyone if you do have comprehensive and collision insurance and upload a picture of it into the “Trip Photo” section of the reservation.

  • What if I break down or get into an accident?

    Whatever you do, don't panic. We have roadside assistance in place to help you on your travels call me and we will get the ball rolling. You do not need to call Turo unless we are non responsive. Please give us at least 10-15 minutes to respond (usually it will be sooner) and if it is after hours please call 907.707.6772 or 480.430.5402. If you get into an accident and are able to, please drive the vehicle out of traffic, contact authorities, and contact us immediately. Make sure to exchange insurance information with all drivers involved. Bad and not-so-fun things happen and we have been in your shoes. We will be helpful and fair and patient, in return we ask that you please notify us in the event of any accident. Please document as much as possible and communicate openly and honestly with me.

  • Can I call or text you if I have any questions? What if I have an emergency?

  • What if I have to cancel or end my trip early

    We follow Turo’s cancellation policies for our Guests who have a change of plans. We will not cancel on you! We know how important it is to offer you a guaranteed commitment. You must keep the vehicle until the end of your reservations period. If you have to drop it off early you may return it to the lot you picked it up in, notify us, and you will be responsible for the parking fees incurred until the end of your rental period. First time using Turo and my experience with Tim and his awesome truck was flawless! Wow what a vehicle. Very clean and luxurious and a head turner for sure. Handled great in the city and up in the mountains for sight seeing. Flew into Phoenix to visit my son at ASU and wanted something better than the typical big box rental company standard no frills car. The entire process with Tim was very smooth and I didn’t have one issue at all. Great communication and assistance through my trip. Will be renting from Tim from now on!
