We urge you to read our Car Guide and the FAQ’s which do include important information and possible fees that could be incurred. We are very flexible but do have some rules to keep the car awesome for everyone. We also try to be open with the cost of common damages we see so there are no surprises to you.

• Battery Range

  Keep in mind that battery range can be affected by use of the car the same way gas powered vehicles are. i.e. air conditioning settings, cabin overheat protection, use of the accelerator, weather, uphill/downhill acceleration, tire size, drive mode (comfort, sport, Ludacris), etc. Feel free to modify the car settings within our guest profile to adjust the driver and safety settings to meet your needs. Friendly reminder to use the faster modes safely! For additional suggestions and battery saving tips, you can ask or refer to the Tesla app / car manual within the touchscreen.

• Incidents

  We highly advise you to purchase insurance coverage on Turo OR check to see what your personal insurance covers on rental cars. Our experience as hosts is that guests regret opting out of this. (Insurance premium is not an extra cost that goes to us). Please reference our car guidelines for our most common damage reimbursement costs. *If you are involved in an incident, it is VERY important that you obtain all information from the other driver, and ensure that you wait for the police to arrive. Take as many photos as possible, including our vehicle damage, their vehicle, their license plate, and their insurance card if they allow you. After those steps are all taken, then notify us and Turo too :)

• Charging Costs

  Charging costs are dependent on countless factors, but some of them are: location, time of day, current occupancy of stalls, electricity company, model of vehicle, etc. We can never give an accurate estimate, but can look at historical data on past trips if you need an idea of how much your trip may cost.
