It drove beautifully, and I felt confident and safe throughout my rental period.
We had a bad experience with Turo and a previous host that day where we canceled the previous rental within 30 minutes because it had a bunch of ants in it and Turo took hours to get things situated and on top of that, it was my wife's birthday (a milestone one).
Everything with our rental of the Jeep Rubicon with Lauren was smooth from start to finish!
Amazing service, responsive, and a fantastic experience. Bryan really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Highly recommend!
Car was great! Amazing gas mileage and Gary was so easy to work with. Highly recommend.
Loved the jeep! Everything was perfect. Host very responsive and helpful.
She delivered the jeep to my hotel and I left it in the Turo lot at the end of the rental.
Gary’s XT4 was amazing. Couldn’t ask for a better host or car while traveling the island of Kauai. Will absolutely book again on our next visit.
Great ride!! 4Runner was very clean and easy to drive! Perfect for the Kauai adventures we had! Amenities were great and perfect as we killed time at a local beach awaiting for our Airbnb check in. Pick and drop off was a breeze and super quick! Bryan was an amazing host and quick to respond if we needed anything! I would definitely recommend anyone to book with Bryan!

When driving an SUV rental in Koloa, be prepared for narrow, winding roads that characterize much of Kauai's landscape. Stay alert for sudden turns and one-lane bridges, common on the island. During rainy periods, which are frequent in tropical Hawaii, roads can become slippery, so adjust your speed accordingly. Be cautious of potential flooding in low-lying areas near the coast. When parking at popular beaches or lookout points, be mindful of soft sand or uneven surfaces. Your SUV rental's higher clearance will be advantageous on some of Koloa's less-developed roads, but always prioritize safety. Familiarize yourself with local traffic laws and respect the aloha spirit by driving courteously and yielding to locals when appropriate.
When selecting an SUV rental for exploring Koloa's varied landscapes, prioritize features that enhance both comfort and capability. All-wheel drive is invaluable for navigating Kauai's occasionally muddy or uneven roads, especially after rain showers. Good ground clearance will serve you well on less-developed paths leading to secluded beaches or lookout points. For coastal drives, consider an SUV rental with panoramic windows or a sunroof to fully appreciate the ocean views. Climate control is essential for Koloa's tropical weather, while ample cargo space allows for easy transport of beach gear, hiking equipment, or souvenirs. Look for models with advanced safety features like hill descent control and traction management, which can be helpful on Kauai's steeper roads and varying terrains.
When navigating Koloa's winding roads in an SUV rental, prioritize safety by adhering to posted speed limits and reducing speed on curves. Be prepared for sudden changes in road conditions, especially during or after rainfall. Use your SUV rental's headlights during early morning or evening drives to improve visibility, particularly on tree-lined routes. When encountering narrow sections or one-lane bridges, common in Kauai, yield to oncoming traffic as appropriate. Keep a safe following distance from other vehicles, as sudden stops may be necessary due to wildlife crossings or unexpected road hazards. Always wear your seatbelt and ensure all passengers do the same. Avoid distractions while driving, focusing on the road and the breathtaking scenery of Koloa when it's safe to do so.

When driving an SUV rental in Koloa's tropical climate, be prepared for sudden weather changes. During rain showers, reduce your speed and increase following distance to account for reduced traction. Use your SUV rental's climate control to prevent windows from fogging up in the humid air. When parking, try to find shaded areas to keep the interior cool, and use sunshades on windows to protect the dashboard. After beach visits, shake off sand before entering to prevent it from affecting pedal operation. Be cautious of wet leaves on roads, which can be slippery. In sunny conditions, use polarized sunglasses to reduce glare from the ocean and wet roads. Always keep your SUV rental's windshield wipers in good condition to handle Kauai's frequent light rains, ensuring clear visibility while exploring Koloa's beautiful landscapes.
When parking a large SUV rental in Koloa's popular areas, patience and caution are key. Look for spacious lots near beaches or shopping centers that can accommodate larger vehicles. When parallel parking on Koloa's streets, use your SUV rental's backup camera and sensors if available. Be mindful of overhanging vegetation or low-hanging signs that might not be an issue for smaller cars. In tight spots, take advantage of your SUV rental's higher vantage point to survey the surroundings before maneuvering. Consider parking a bit farther from busy areas where spaces might be more abundant and walking the extra distance. Always respect local parking regulations and avoid blocking driveways or fire hydrants.
