The car ran fine. But, the license plate was different than stated online and it took two hours to hear back. We took the risk assuming it was just an error and indeed it was. He updated the plate number. I’m also still not sure about an inspection tag…? He said it was not important… The car looks great on the outside, but unfortunately, not so much on the inside. It has major stains and dirt marks, seats to ceiling, and from the fingerprints on the windows, oil-looking stains on some of the vinyl, and even some splatter marks, we wondered if it had been cleaned. It did appear to be vacuumed, but not necessarily ‘wiped down’. He wants it to be a nonsmoking car, but unfortunately, at some point, someone has smoked in it. There are the dangling refresher trees on the rear view mirror but they don’t mask the smell. It’s not terrible. All in all, the renter seemed nice. We were going to wash and clean as he requests in the profile at first, but when we saw how dirty it was when we received it, it didn’t seem fair. He later said the cleaning was ‘unnecessary’ but he would reward ME with a 5-Star rating (& repeat discount) if I did. We did not eat or drink in the car, we did not make a mess, no dirt or grass, no smoking, and minimal use. In my opinion, I would deserve a 5-star without the ‘unnecessary’ cleaning so I did not appreciate the reference that I didn’t. It was reasonably priced so that is something to consider. I would consider renting again, but would read the reviews more thoroughly and be more mindful next time, requesting interior photos, etc. I’m new to Turo so perhaps that is what one needs to do to be informed…

Have rented from them a couple times always with great service and reliable cars. Easy pickup and drop off and very responsive. I will note about this car in particular, it absolutely REEKED of cigarette smell, after airing out was manageable but if you're sensitive to it choose a different car from them. Will use down south rentals again.
