Description

Nothing beats driving a “top-off/doors-off” Jeep in Hawaii and this is probably the biggest Jeep on Oahu. You'll Like This Jeep Wrangler If... If you've ever wanted to feel unstoppable or if you have a real need for all-season capability, or simply a strong desire to depart the beaten path, the 2011 Jeep Wrangler is a tough recipe to beat. And with city streets and freeways providing an increasingly unfriendly atmosphere to standard, car-based suspensions, large tires and real ground clearance are increasingly handy for the committed urbanite. Want to try the top-down and/or doors-off Jeep experience? Here's what you need to know: 1. Our Jeeps will have either a soft top or a hard top, which will be listed in each Jeep’s features. We can take the hard tops off if you have secured covered parking where you are staying. We can put the soft tops down, not off. All Jeeps doors can come off. 2. While we wait for Turo to add these options as official “Extras” these are offered outside of Turo so we will send you a link to pay by cc. 3. It is $29 for us to remove and store the hard top for you (soft tops are self service, but we can put it down for you if you want) 4. It is $19 for us to remove and store the doors for you 5. Having the top and doors off is my favorite way to enjoy the island, but the sun can be a bit much after a while so you might consider the above options for some of your trip instead of all of it. 6. All requests are subject to approval depending on our schedule (we work full time jobs and do not always have the time so the further in advance you ask us the more likely we can work it into our schedule.) Need inspiration for your time here? You can see other guest’s adventures on Insta and FB @TryMyJeep. More about this Jeep: If you believe beauty is on the inside, you’ll love the modifications made to the Wrangler’s interior for model year 2011. New seat fabric, an all-new instrument panel with revised air ducts, a redesigned center stack and revised radio lineup are just a few of the many changes wrought by Jeep’s product team. Although "soft-touch" may seem like a less-than-dirty word to a committed off-roader, it perfectly describes these interior updates, in combination with improved ergonomics and a quieter ride. Like all great adventurers, this Jeep has gained a few cosmetic scars over the years. While it is still reliable, there may be some cosmetic imperfections. This one's seats are a little extra beat up. ***PLEASE NOTE*** While we understand and expect you to leave some sand and sweat in our Jeep during your trip, we have realized that some guests are over applying sun screen lotion and the excess lotion ends up in the fabric of the seats. It takes special chemicals, tools, and so much extra time to clean the seats. When a guest does this repeatedly over a longer trip, the lotions and oils work themselves deeper into the fabric, which means we will have to spend more time to clean and it may cause permanent damage. To be clear, we use sunscreen all of the time and this has never been an issue and most guests do not do this, but we want to mention it since we will start charging an extra fee if our Jeep is returned with lotion stains on the seats. Please note - this Jeep has a lift so it is 6 feet and 7 inches tall. Please check with the place you are staying to confirm their clearance for parking. *** Also Note: This Jeep (like most of our jeeps) have special wheels (more fun) than the ones Jeep makes and these wheels typically do not get along with the tire pressure sensors so if you see a sign on the dash that looks like this (!) please do not be alarmed. (That being said, as always, if anything seems to be running oddly please don't hesitate to let me know) Nothing beats driving a “top-off/doors-off” Jeep in Hawaii.
