This is my fun car! I love driving in California mode with all of the windows and panoramic sunroof open. This is such a sleek look with matte navy! The sound system is everything for an audiophile. Link your Spotify account to the car and see your favorite artists on the massive screen. Hollywood mode allows screen to automatically rotate and show movies and shows in landscape mode while you wait. Limo mode allows your backseat company to adjust their seat warmers and their ambient temp and volume. The truck is super spacious, and the interior is so comfortable. It feels like you’re riding in a futuristic vehicle. So much fun driving! The techy stuff: The 2023 Fisker Ocean is an all-electric five-passenger small SUV from famed automotive designer Henrik Fisker. Fisker is known for his sensational sports car creations, including the BMW Z8, Aston Martin DB9 and his own short-lived Fisker Karma plug-in hybrid luxury sedan. The Ocean is a lot more practical, of course. It has roomy seating and enough cargo space for errands or the occasional road trip. It also has impressive range; in our own real-world Edmunds EV Range Test, we got 358 miles on a single charge from an Ocean fitted with the big battery pack. Aimed at excursions away from the pavement, the Ocean Force-E adds extended fenders, chunky 33-inch tires, higher ground clearance, extra underbody plating, and improved approach/breakover/departure angles. There's even a custom roof rack, which has a webbed bottom so that the optional solar roof can soak up some rays. Expect range to be significantly compromised. The Force-E kit will be offered as a factory option, but existing Ocean drivers don't have to miss out—the upgrades can also be purchased as a package for owners to install themselves. Automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane keep assist, and road-sign recognition come standard. For 2024, adaptive cruise control is now included on all trims. Fisker says other safety features may be added via over-the-air updates in the future. Tech is front and center in the Ocean: Every model gets an imposing 17.1-inch central infotainment touchscreen. On the two lower trims, the screen is stuck in portrait orientation. On Extreme models, however, it will rotate into landscape mode to allow passengers to stream videos on rest stops. Fisker calls it Hollywood mode, how cute. Notably, the system is not compatible with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The manufacturer cites privacy concerns and states that it believes in its proprietary software. Finally, the Extreme trim gets Fisker's best features and tech. That means the powerful Boost mode, heated rear seats, a premium sound system, sound and climate controls for the second row, and a rotating infotainment screen. The Extreme also gets one of the Ocean's best party tricks: a solar roof that Fisker claims will restore up to 1,500 miles of range every year. All told, Extreme models cost about $71,500 before fees. Stepping up to the Ocean Ultra and Extreme trims means a much bigger 106.0 kWh battery that lets the SUV really show you what it can do. The powertrains in these models put out 564 horsepower and 543 pound-feet of torque, enough ponies to reach 60 MPH in 3.9 seconds in the Ultra and just 3.7 seconds in the Extreme. The range also jumps considerably in these trims, with the Ultra going up to 350 miles between charges and the Extreme maxing out at 360 miles.
