When you book a car on Saturday of a long weekend it's expected that you won't get the cream of the crop. But this has to be my worst Turo experience. The car was dirty, smelly, and much rustier than the host photos showed. If you drive over 100km the car begins to shake. The radio doesn't work. The driver side window sticks when trying to roll back up. On two separate occasions during my rental the van would not start. The host insisted he take a photo of me holding my licence on his phone even though that information is uploaded into the app for the booking request to be approved. He seemed to be eager for a 5 star review, but aside from his fake politeness (thank you for the 55 photos of 1 gas invoice) I don't see much maintenance or customer service that would garner one. The van got me from point A to B, thank God. Only book if you are desperate.

This review is clearly retaliatory after the guest was charged for not refuelling the van, per Turo policy. With 17 prior 5-star trips and no similar complaints, the claims made here are exaggerated and unfounded. The van is well-maintained, safe, and reliable. No other guest has reported starting issues, shaking, or cleanliness problems. ID verification is a common safety step. Please read our consistent 5-star reviews for an honest reflection of our service. 17 prior 5-star trips to be exact.
