I’m giving one star for the host’s prompt communication. And one star for her timeliness. She was great in both these aspects. I would give half a star for the vehicle but that’s not possible. The suv is powerful and drives well. But the windshield is a mess of chips and the wipers need replacing. The car is covered in dents and scratches. None of this is apparent from the descriptions or the photos. So the third star was not given for the vehicle. Here is why I’m only giving 2 stars: Upon receiving the vehicle, I noticed it was filthy and smelled like stale fast food. And not just a little dust from the drive to our meeting location- but there were crumbs and dirt and trash left in the car. There were smudges and hand prints all on door handles and windows. I’m a Turo host and take pride in the condition and cleanliness of my vehicle. The state of this suv was unacceptable. And on top of it I’m renting it during a pandemic- even more unacceptable. The first thing i did was go to CVS and buy Clorox wipes and a car freshener pod. I wiped down the driver seat and the steering wheel and it resulted in a filthy wipe (I have pictures) and there was no way I could keep the vehicle for 9 days without it being professionally cleaned- I ended up getting the car detailed. So I spent a good chunk of my first day of vacation (and $50+) cleaning a vehicle that should have been delivered clean. As much as I love how the car drives and the power in the engine, I don’t think I’ll ever rent from this host again. During and post a pandemic- not being clean is actually dangerous.

I’m curious how you are able to host your vehicles without a single dent or scratch. I think your review is misleading as the rover is in great shape. As far as cleanliness I would have happily worked out an exchange vehicle or schedule a mobile detailer to go to your location had you let me know there was an issue. Either way, thank you for the feedback and I’m glad you liked the rover.
