First and foremost, I will say that Andrei was very nice. This has nothing to do with his personality at all but rather the condition of the car. I purchased a day in the Tesla to surprise my dad for Father's Day! It was supposed to be very exciting for us and I was looking forward to picking it up. I get to Andrei's house and he was very nice and also spent some time going over the basics of the car, which I appreciated. However, the car was filthy. When I read the reviews for this Tesla, most people said it was very clean and almost exactly in the condition the listing stated. Which is why I was so shocked at the condition of the car. Inside the car there was trash, along with coins, his mask for COVID safety (which I had to touch to move - that's unsanitary!), a child's toy, his tennis shoes, some rags, and trash in the trunk. What really irked me was how filthy the seats were. It looked like his kids spilled something in the back seat, which I had to clean before my mom could sit in the back seat. I even had to ask Andrei if he wanted his shoes out of the trunk and a key I found. He didn't seem bothered by how messy or dirty the car was (like this was normal). The description noted in Turo stated that he likes to wash the car himself, that you are not allowed to eat or drink in the car, and to treat it like you would a rental car makes no sense considering the condition I saw. I would rather go to a rental car company than rent through here since I know most of those cars are clean. So, I decided to just go with it. I cleaned out the car and put his personal items in the trunk in a bag. I cleaned off the seats and we went on our way. Then, the cherry on top was noticed. We had already driven 60 miles (BTW, my dad did not see this when he got in because I was surprising him with the car), my dad noticed that the back tires were bald. I am talking scary bald. Like they need to be changed immediately. Right then and there, we didn't want to drive the car anymore but we had to drive it home another 60 miles. My dad was a really good sport about it either way and he was happy to drive a Tesla but this was not the experience I would want him to have. I would caution anyone who is renting this car as a luxury vehicle or as a gift to someone to think twice. I had to go above and beyond to get the car in an acceptable condition before my dad got it. AND at the price I paid with taxes and insurance, it came out to $250! This was completely unacceptable to me for the condition of the car I received. I will likely avoid using Turo again if this is how most of the cars are listed.

Although we strive to make every customer satisfied we realize that some people are renting for totally different reasons. More than 50 people were very pleased with the experience and if there was something they didn’t like, they communicated and problem was solved. If no communication before or during the trip exists, there is no way to address any of the issues. At any point in time, if any car is not clean, safe..etc please communicate or refuse the car if problem can’t be solved.
