I really hope you will read this before you use this app. Avoid Turo and go to rent a car company. After I returned the car to the owner and after the inspection we both did I got message from him THE NEXT DAY saying there is a damage ( some sticky material ) on the driver side . I told him I washed the car couple miles away of his house before I returned the car and everything was fine at that moment and the moment I returned the car. From the picture I got from him I couldn’t say what it is, what kind of material it is and he couldn’t confirm that as well. We spoke and I told him to let me know after he goes to car wash. He was also complaining about the smoking in the car even neither me or my friend driving with me don’t smoke!!! After everything he send me new charges - extra miles, gas and he said my tolls are 8.50$ and he will add 120$ for cleaning on tolls. He said he went somewhere and that’s how much the cleaning is. I paid for miles, gas and tolls but I refused to pay for cleaning WITH NO RECEIPT off course. I spoke to Turo and I explained the situation. I really don’t understand how to pay for something he is asking me when first, at the moment I returned the car we found no damages and second of all, THERE IS NO RECEIPT FOR THE COST!! So I’m not even sure if he went somewhere to fix the damage or if he fixed the damage by him self or if there was no damage... Then he put the claim and now it’s not 120$, now is 500$ deductible and now he’s saying another story to Turo about fixing the car at the body shop. Renting a car I paid for insurance as well. I lost my time trying to speak with Turo. Trust me, it’s not worth your time. Just go to rent a car agency and this is never going to happen. Or if you really want to use this app inspect the car really good before and after, take as many pictures as you can, make sure everything is fine several times and good luck. I’m done with them.
