This trip was an absolute nightmare. When I picked the vehicle up I noticed there was extensive body damage and scratches all around the vehicle. But I just took pictures and had to keep going (had a hotel already booked) When I got in the car I realized that it was incredibly FILTHY on the interior. There was dirt and grass all over the floor, tons of garbage and even rotting food/old coffee. Being that we are admist the COVID 19 pandemic this was absolutely appalling. After driving the car on the freeway it was clear that the Brakes and Rotors were in desperate need of replacement as the entire car would shake violently when even tapping the brakes at higher speeds. When I arrived at my first destination (with my family and 3 children) we realized that the tires were completely bald. Needless to say this was a horrible experience, Molly was a terrible host and offered me no help or legitimate apology and she completely violated TUROS standards and policies.

This was my first time using Turo. My family and I planned a road trip to Idaho and were looking for a spacious RELIABLE vehicle. We had come across Molly’s Van and read good reviews from previous customer road trips, etc... and so I thought. We arrived to pick up the van and it wasn’t the cleanest. Floors had crumbs, hidden areas had some food and trash. But it was wiped down from the cleaner I smelled. Other than that, we turned on the van and already the tire had low tire pressure. We took it to the gas station and it was extremely low. Not something I wanted to see especially if our plan was driving far. But we put air in it and we were good for the most part. It was time for our road trip, we were two hours in when we made it to the mountain area that had hills. As we were driving down our first hill, the car was shaking. I reported it to her right when I was able to get service. It was the Caliper rotary brake pad. When I had mentioned it to her she said she didn’t know I was driving that far because she didn’t know where Idaho was. 🤔 Our drive back home to drop the car we had told her we were going to be late on our drop off time because we had to drive much slower and cautious. We did not feel safe. And we still paid all the extra charges. Hopefully the car will be fixed before anyone else books the vehicle.
