Text me saying I could have it an extra hour because he didn’t have the vehicle ready in time, but then started to freak out when I didn’t bring the car back an hour early!? Acting as if he never offered that, but just the 2 or 3 text messages before he did... called turo acting as if I was trying to steal his car. This guy has some serious metal issues

Mr. Christian had been warned repeatedly about violating rules and conduct behavior. He smoked, used foul language, return the vehicle late, committed toll violations, failed to refuel, and was charged with additional miles driven.

Robert was a nightmare to deal with!!! I was in Houston for the death of my father, but forgot my credit card at home, so I was forced to use Turo when the rental car company refused to bill the deposit to my debit card with which I had prepaid my rental. When Robert arrived at the airport, he peculiarly handed me the key and quickly walked off into the darkness. I opened the trunk and found little German cockroaches. Ahhggg!!! On my way out of Houston, the Maintenance Due light came on. A couple of days later, I found water under the driver's seat. I sent a text to let him know. I then got a call that led to 30 minutes of nonstop verbal abuse, during which he accused me of running through toll booths and threatened to bill me a large sum to cover. I could barely get him to stop talking long enough to listen to me saying that I had not taken any toll roads at all. Then, he insisted that I must have driven in a flood. I had not. He finally insisted that I take it to a Toyota dealer to have it serviced. After all this, we started seeing the cockroaches in the back seat! All this, and I had paid him more than double what I had already paid to the rental car company. On the next to the last day of my trip, I was awakened early (exhausted from an emotionally draining week) to request that I participate in a conference call with Turo because he claimed they had made mistakes and he needed to get it straightened out. This turned into yet another relentless and circular conversation. I would NEVER rent from Robert again. In fact, this will probably be my only Turo experience.

Ms Anita I completely understand your mixed emotions over the death of your father and our condolences goes out to you and your family. It is rather unfortunate that you choose not to use the services of turo and in particular me as a host. We and in particular myself hold ourselves to high standards and it is our intent to enrich the experience of all guest who choose to participate on the platform. If you were offended by my tone, actions or behavior, I sincerely apologize.

Robert was great! He was on time for pick-up and drop-off, which hardly ever happens. He took good care of the car and brought it back clean and full tank. Would definitely rent him our car again. Thank you Robert!
