The ride was very enjoyable but there are a few things you may want to be aware. 1 - It may be better if where you stay has a place for you to recharge your Tesla each night. I waste about an hour every day because I had to drive it to a Tesla charging station. 2 - Know where charging stations are available, don't wait until you run low. 3 - Despite being such a high tech car, the map is extremely confusing. There are actually 2 and, between the 2, I sometimes find myself so distracted that I'm not paying attention to the road! Even so, I still get lost multiple times and had to be rerouted because the map doesn't provide a clue as to which lane you should be on or, at times, too late. You must pay attention to the map on the left, where the odometer is. The map on my phone was so much better, even though it's much smaller! 4 - If you've never driven a Tesla before, like myself, you may want to learn how to operate the charging. I was shown where to plug the charge cable in but not shown how to operate. Once charged, you must use the control panel in the center dashboard to unlock, then you can remove you the cable. I was lucky someone was around to show me but there are usually several folks around, charging their Tesla. These cars are everywhere in California! 5 - I recommend paying the extra, so that you can return your Tesla without it being at the same charge level as when you rent it. Finding a charging station around is not as convenient as finding a gas station. The pickup and drop-off experience was a breeze. No additional paperwork to fill out. I was able to pickup and be on my way in less than 5 minutes after arrival, and a little less than 10 minutes on departure, even on a Sunday morning! This beats all the car rental companies I've been to, especially on my last trip, which was close to an hour at Avis! The only inconvenience I found was that there are no transportation/shuttle to get your car. You have to get an Uber or Lyft ride to get it, as well as to get back to the airport after you drop it off, unless you have someone else to give you the ride. Overall, I would rent it again but only if I stay at a location that I can conveniently charge my Tesla because it's a total waste of vacation time when you have to lose an hour each day to recharge!

The car was in great condition and perfect for a weekend trip! Melody was very communicative and accommodating - even when we had last minute changes. Highly recommend!
