We had an awesome time on our trip from LA to Santa Barbara thanks to Dustin and this awesome ride! We loved having the option of putting the top up or down, ESPECIALLY while driving along the coast. The car worked great with no problems, and Dustin made sure to teach us how to work the top and trunk so there were no issues. Would absolutely use this car again!

This was a horrible experience for me. Upon pickup i was told that Dustin had a short period of time between customers to clean the vehicle. I am sure this left him not being able to sterilize the vehicle appropriately due to COVID guidelines. I took pictures to show the cleanliness of the vehicle. I also paid to have the turo picked up specifically from the airport and had to drop him at a specified location prior to beginning my trip. Upon inspection of the vehicle he mentioned to me that the last customer had broken a latch for the convertible and reassured me that there was no issue. He also mentioned that on his way to me the engine light came on and that this was nothing to worry about. I specifically took pictures of this specific area because of this. Also i told him to only set the convertible lid halfway due to not knowing how cold nighttime would get. One day into my trip, that was supposed to be for four days and while driving on the highway the top completely flies back. This could’ve kilt not only myself but anyone on the highway as well. I mentioned to Dustin many times about the clamp being broken from the last customer which was preventing the front clamp from extending to completely close the vehicle and that this was becoming an issue for my trip. I report this to him and he keeps brushing this issue off. I immediately told him that he needed to come past to fix this issue because there was nothing left for me to do at this point. I reported this through turo which wasn’t handled in the best way and was told to wait for him to come. Upon his arrival, he insisted still driving the vehicle knowing the convertible top is still damaged at this point. I expressed to him that this was very uncomfortable for me and driving this would only worsen the situation. I asked him why he didn’t reach out to the last customer and he expressed he did but told them he would rectify the issue without her having to worry about anything. If Dustin knew this vehicle had existing damage he should not have rented this vehicle out again. Instead he should’ve gotten the truck fixed preventing future damage. This left me without any transportation for 2 days. Turo advised me to wait until the trip ended on its own before they could cancel and issue a refund. So after getting home to wait for the trip to end, he sends me a refundable amount for gas and a cleaning fee. Completely inconsiderate of what happened and of course common sense would tell you that i wouldn’t be able to refuel a vehicle or clean a vehicle that was cancelled days prior to. This was the worst trip i experienced due to this situation. And with the way turo has handled the situation over the course of a week, has left me feeling unsure of using this app moving forward. Might i add, i have been with turo for yearssss now and have not had a bad experience to date.

This vehicle was fully sanitized and detailed before her trip, as usual. She was shown how to put down the top by myself, but clearly did not listen. She then drove the vehicle on the freeway with only one latch connected, and proceeded to ruin a $2,000.00 top, as the wind tore it up. I picked up the vehicle, at which time the latch worked perfectly, the car was a mess and the gas tank empty. She took the aggressive to avoid paying for damage. There are those people out there, it's sad.
