Life happens and renting a car, things happen. In this case a curb rash to one of the wheels (which already did have some curb rash from other guests), but this new one came with red paint, so was new and more noticeable. All I asked was for $25 so I could use it towards eventually getting it fixed. I think that was quite reasonable. As an owner, it isn’t really fair for us to keep accepting curb rashes without a fee. Robert did not reply to my request for the $25. Robert did extend the trip another day and I’m thankful for that extra day of business. Also prior to the trip I did ask Robert to reach out text or call, because renting on Turo and driving an electric car for the first time in both cases can be unexpected. A simple phone call or text prior to running low on charge could have saved Robert fees for parking and his time that could have been better spent not at a slower charger, when things get low on battery. Advice is to call/communicate with owners, especially if it is the first time for everything. We as owners are here to help with your trip to ensure things go smoothly.
