David was an outstanding host. He ensured we could get the car promptly and on time and was constantly in touch whenever I texted him. Thank you david

The upside: The car, like all Model 3’s, was amazing. Fun to drive and equipped with auto-pilot. I had zero issues with the car. It’s worth it for the experience or to show off to a family member or friend. The downside: I rented the car last minute around 630pm at night for a 10am pickup the next day so I could pick up my mother from the airport at 11am. I did not receive a message back from the owner until 952am the next morning. I lived 5 minutes away from the owner but I was beginning to make alternative plans to use my own car. I was then told it wouldn’t be ready until at least 1020am. So this accounted for me being almost 20 minutes to the airport. The car was also given to me with a range of only 126 miles. I was expecting a full battery of at least 300 miles so we could spend the day together without having to worry about charging. In this case, we did have stop and charge the car for 40 minutes halfway through the day to get enough range to feel comfortable. So this was always an inconvenience. I returned the car promptly at 1000am as was originally agreed on. The owner was not home and could not be reached. I left the car in the driveway and took the key with me for security and liability. I got a reply about 1.5hrs later saying just leave the key in the car. Luckily I live nearby but this was another inconvenience to return since I had family in town and this impacted our plans. The inbetween: Because is the lack of communication and rushing to handover the car, we did not formally use the app. This was my first time using Turo so I did not know what to expect. We did not go over inside or outside of vehicle for damage, I didn’t log mileage or battery range, etc. I hopped in the car and left. This was convenient for me because I was in a rush. The owner was carefree about promptness of returning the car and did not require it to be fully charged. He also covered the charging cost and fast trak charge. Overall: If you have set plans and need to maintain a punctual timeline beware. The process may not go as smoothly as you’d expect. If you’re flexible and a little more laid back, then this will be a good experience for you. The owner is very nice, laid back, and easy to work with. Just difficult to communicate with.

Terrible communication. Did not have car charged after an hour late on his part. Tried to make excuses about not knowing how to log into the app. Worst experience ever.
