Description

This wonderful 1969 mustang convertible is the picture of Southern California. It is in great shape for a car of its age with both beauty and character iconic to its vintage. It runs very well and is nice and straight with a subtle metallic green paint and black interior. If you want a car that captures the true spirit of classic american adventure, then this is the one for you. Given the age of the car please be aware that it lacks many of the modern conveniences we have all gotten used to, the windows are all manual, there are no anti-lock brakes, so you want to keep a much greater distance between you and the car in front. The car does have power steering, an automatic transmission and power disc brakes so it handles much better than when original Again be aware that this car is super cool, but it is not a modern car, it is a classic. If you want something super comfortable, there are a million options to choose from, but if you want an unforgettable adventure with the wind in your hair, then this could very well be the most fun car you will ever drive. UPDATE: TURO has changed their policies to make the minimum included mileage for all vehicles 200 miles per day, this is not appropriate for classic vehicles, but TURO is not really designed for classic vehicles. Rather than raise our prices in response, we are asking all renters to keep daily driving below 100 miles, or to pay a gratuity of $2.00 per mile over the included 100 miles per day.

Parking details

There is plenty of street parking on Palermo even if Amalfi gets full. I will meet you at the garage for pickup.

Guidelines

Please drive slowly, it is not a modern car and does not stop as quickly. There are no airbags, no roll cage, and no shoulder restraints, so please drive carefully and never drink and drive. There are only a handful of classic cars available for rent anywhere in the world. This car is a treasure preserved from a previous generation and it is everyone's responsibility to take extra care with it so that it can be enjoyed by future generations. Only 91 octane gas may be put in the fuel tank or it will start to drive terribly and it could cause damage to the engine. For preservation purposes, the car may not be driven in the rain, parked out in the rain, or driven on wet roads. We have a waterproof cover that can be put on it when parking outside overnight, but please keep it dry and do not rent it on days when rain is forecast. Thanks
