For a delivery fee we have convenient pick up & drop off at "Short Term Parking". 1. Just text us your flight details and we will have the car ready to pick up in short term parking. 2. When returning you can have the convenience of leaving the car in short term park so you can zip to your flight. Just leave the key in the glovebox and we will lock the car remotely for your convenience. (If you need to get the car delivered or would like to leave it elsewhere please contact host and we will gladly help arrange to fit your schedule)

Our guidelines are "Super Simple" follow them and this will be the best experience you have ever had renting a car and renting from Turo. Rules: 1) No Smoking of any kind in the car. ($250 Fee if smoke is detected) 2) No pets allowed in the car. (if you have a special case please let us know and we can make an exception but must be approved before the rental) 3) Return the car with at least 30% charge so we can drive the car back to HQ 4) If there are any scratches or dents you will be charged $300 for damages or cost of damage. 5) Please be careful when parking if any scratches on the wheel its $200 per wheel. We have a wheel guard to help prevent & avoid issues as accident and tight parking happens, but please do keep this in mind.(to be on the safe side get Turo Insurance so you are covered) 6) For your convenience there is a delivery fee and pick up fee to get the car handed off in short term parking so the car is across the street in terminal 1 or 2 based on your flight. ( fee: $100)

• Does the Tesla have a key?

  There is no key in the traditional sense, but there is a plastic key card that you will receive. You are responsible for this key and you can return the key hassle free in the glove box when returning and we will lock the car remotely. The key is mainly used to LOCK/UNLOCK the car. To drive the car we will provide you with a 4 digit PIN CODE.

• Where can I charge and how long does it take?

  There is a charging station located nearby the airport or few miles away from the airport. In California there are Superchargers every 5-10 miles and are easy to find on the "Navigation Screen". When driving if you will need to charge the car the car will direct you to stop at a charger before continuing on with your trip for your convenience. We will also include the charging kit in the trunk so in case you are at a home you can also plug the car in without any hassle. On the TESLA dashboard it will show you nearby charging stations. If you do not use a super charger and instead use another charger. There is a converter in the rear trunk. A full charge from 40-200 miles takes roughly 25 minutes.

• When returning the car, how much of a charge (battery) should the car have when I return the car?

  Tesla’s are designed to stay between 20% and 80% charged or in this case between 40-210 miles. This means that we don’t let it get below 40 miles or above 210 miles on the charge. We will provide the car to you with close to 280 to 290 miles of range (95% charged). Please bring the vehicle back between 190-210 miles charged. There is a local supercharger a few miles away. And I will personally show you how to locate superchargers fast if you book with us. Heres the breakdown. *You can always do prepaid charging and will keep things simple or here is the breakdown of what you may get charged? 190-210 = free :) 150-190 = $10 refuel 100-150 = $15 refuel 40-100 = $20 refuel Under 40 is $30 refuel. If the car is returned with under 10 miles of charge you will be charged $150 fee for degradation of battery as it will degrade the battery and it is costly to fix, so please be mindful and all will be well.

• Where do I pick the car up and return the car?

  If you are landing at San Diego International Airport, we will conveniently deliver the car to you in "Short-Term Parking" and you can return it in Short-Term Parking. (Terminal 2 only, Terminal 1 is under construction) Just let us know 30 min before your arrival or when you are dropping the car off so we can arrange for drop off and pick up conveniently. There is no extra charge to get the car at the airport. If you want to rent the car and want us to drop it off to your hotel or any other location with 50 mile radius of San Diego International Airport, please let us know.

• Is Smoking allowed in this car? (Cigs / Marijuana / any other substance)

  Let me keep this simple, SMOKING OF ANYKIND IS NOT ALLOWED! It costs a lot to de-smoke the interior so please if you are a smoker, just step out side, do your thing and be on your way. The car smells brand new as it is brand new, so if there is any Smoking of any kind detected upon return, there will be a $250 Smoke fee charged at minimum (may be more based on the cost of the cleaning). So keep with the rules and no smoking in the car. :) thank you!

• Charging - How to?

  Charging the Tesla is easy! With Tesla chargers, just press the button on the charger handle while holding near the charge port on the rear left tail light - the port will open right up automatically. When you plug in the car, the Tesla Supercharger automatically recognizes my car and adds any charging fees to my account, which will be billed to you at the end of your trip. If you have any questions what-so-ever, I'm happy to provide more details on charging! For third-party charging stations, download the appropriate app for that station and set up an account to refuel the car. Plugshare is a great app for finding EV charging stations near you.

• I have never driven a Tesla how does it all work? I am new?

• Cleaning? What condition should I return the car in that is acceptable?

  The vehicle should be returned in the same condition as you received it. The car will always be FULLY sanitized, clean, polished and all insides cleaned as showroom car clean, however we don't want you to stress about things so we encourage you to get "pre-paid" cleaning which is cheap convenient and hassle free. There is no eating or Pets allowed in the car. If you don’t have time to run it through a wash then please select the “post-trip cleaning option” and we will have it cleaned for $25 inside and out.
