Honestly, our rental was not a smooth experience this time. But first and most importantly, I still would like to give a 5 star rating. Initially, I had an almost new Audi. Happy with its fancy features for 3 days. On the fourth day, it broke down on the highway with electrical system failure alerts. Fortunately, I was able to slow down and turned it to a parking spot. Reported the problem to the host. They were able to deliver this MB to t he spot (on the New Year's Day) around after 1 hour. I'm really happy with the response and action being taken.
With this not-so-great experience, I had to tell myself I may stay away from an Audi vehicle in the future, but would definitely rent from the host again if I go to SD next time. They have many cars as backup and many hosts taking care of the business. Much reliable than those one host + one car Turo hosts.
The spot is also convenient to airport ($15 Uber) and pickup/dropoff using the locker box is straightforward and easy.

I had a positive experience renting with HM. The price was excellent for the value of the car, and communication leading up to the rental was prompt and clear. I appreciated the easy wireless AirPlay integration, which made navigation a breeze.
There were a couple of minor hiccups: the vehicle had to be changed at the last minute, but the host was very communicative and gave me my pick of their available cars, which I appreciated. Additionally, the driver’s side mirror adjustment controls didn’t work, so I had to adjust it manually—but this was a minor inconvenience.
While this particular car wasn’t quite my style, I’d definitely rent from this host again due to their professionalism and excellent service. Highly recommend!
