The car was filthy dirty when I picked up. Was not cleaned at all, and seemed like it had not been wash or cleaned inside in months. During a Corona Virus pandemic, I was highly disappointed to pick up a filthy car. Also, the car has clearly been rebuilt, as the front bumper is a not the same color and the logos are even places on crooked. The car trembles pretty horribly if you dare get over 45 mph. This was my first Turo experience, and I’m not one to complain much but when I’m spending this much money to rent a nice car for my children and I to travel in, I’m extremely disappointed. When I notified the owner, he said, “Oh there was no time to clean it since it was a last minute rental!” Wouldn’t that be something you do immediately when it’s returned, especially during a a highly contagious virus pandemic going on. I was promised by Turo that this person had passed a cleaning protocol in order to be sure my family and I were safe, however, that WAS NOT the case. Especially in a city that has the highest Covid #’s in the entire country. My goal was to pick up a clean car, and get out into nature so we could enjoy a nice drive and some hiking, instead, we found ourselves at the car wash having to pay to wash the car our of our own pocket! This should have been taken care of when the last person returned it, but nope. Careless if you ask me, and dangerous for my family, regarding both the Covid situation and the current shape of the car. I DO NOT RECOMMEND RENTING THIS CAR!!! It seems it’s been totaled out in a front end crash and not repaired well at all.

Upon reviews of the photos, we did not feel that this warranted her severe claims. The car was not “terribly dirty”, and in fact the car was in a much cleaner condition. We absolutely take safety as our priority and do our best to clean each car for our clients. We also offered in good faith a full car wash that we wanted to reimburse but “she wasn’t having it” could not be reasonable and even returned the car empty on gas & did not want to pay for it. The car of course was never totaled.
