PLEASE READ: - TURO does now allow towing!! Insurance will not cover you in this case. - NO SMOKING of any kind. If the car smells like cigarettes or weed, you will be charged $250 for interior detail. - NO PETS. To both protect the vehicle and help future renters with specific allergies. Any pet hair and pet dander found in vehicles may incur additional fees. - Be careful if you are not used to driving trucks. It is large and feels up spaces and lanes - Car will be given to you freshly washed, please return the car in the same condition. If you do not have time to wash you may select the hassle-free car wash option provided in our extra services. The same applies to gas.

  • Do you deliver at PDX- Portland International Airport?

    Yes, we do if you pay the $120 delivery fee. However, you can pick up the car at the airport by yourself for free 24/7. AIRPORT PICK-UP: Once you have your luggage call 503 257 2559 for pick-up. The PICK-UP location is across from pick-up location #8 " ISLAND 1 COURTESY SHUTTLES, CAR RENTAL..." The shuttle will take you to the car and either myself or a co-host will give you the key. You will receive check-in instructions 24-48 prior to check-in time. You will get a picture of the shuttle so you know how it looks like.

  • What is your smoking policy?

    All cars on Turo are non-smoking vehicles. Turo prohibits guests, their passengers, and vehicle hosts from smoking in any car in the Turo marketplace. If it’s proven that you’ve violated Turo’s No smoking policy, either by smoking or allowing your passengers to smoke, Turo will remove you from the platform. We’ll close your account, and you’ll be unable to appeal this action.

  • Can my friend or/family member drive?

    NO, but YES if they are an approved driver on a trip. Guests may request and be approved to add an additional Approved Driver to a trip. Only Turo-approved drivers can book and drive a car during a Turo trip. To be an “Approved Driver” means that the guest has provided and updated all required documentation, continues to meet all Turo requirements for booking a car, is currently in good standing, and, as per our Terms of Service, is listed on the reservation.

  • How Do I Add an additional driver on a trip?

    To request to add a driver to your trip: 1. Log onto Turo.com or the Turo mobile app. 2. Open the Trips tab at the top of the screen. 3. Choose Booked from the dropdown menu. 4. Open the trip you’re interested in. 5. Scroll down to the section labeled DRIVERS. 6. Tap Add driver. 7. Enter the email address associated with your additional driver’s Turo account. If they don’t have a Turo account yet, enter a valid email address they check regularly. 8. Look for a status update on your Trip details page or an email from us letting you know if your driver has been approved. -----As the primary driver, you must be the one to pick up and return the car. You also assume all financial responsibility for the car during the trip. If you’ve booked a Turo Go car, you must be present at all times when your additional driver is driving. Do not allow anyone who was not approved by Turo to drive. Doing so will void your protection plan-----

  • What do you mean the car should be returned clean?

    - You aren’t expected to clean or disinfect the car upon return; however, if you return a car unreasonably dirty, you may be subject to fees. - You can purchase an EXTRA where you can return a car in a "reasonably dirty" condition. Please see cleaning fee levels below: Cleaning fee levels Moderate cleaning — up to $50* Car exterior is returned significantly muddier than it was received. Examples are: mud on the car body, wheels, or windows Floor mats or upholstery are returned significantly dirtier than they were received. (For example, carpeted mats require more than a shake-out or rubber mats require more than a quick wash to be restored to original condition.) Large amounts of food, dirt, or mud that can’t be shaken out and must be heavily vacuumed to remove Light stains or residue on hard surfaces. Examples are: liquid spills or sticky substances Mud, sticky substances, and heavy dirt buildup. Significant mud or noticeable interior dirtiness Heavy cleaning — $100* Major stains or residue on seat fabric or other hard-to-clean surfaces Severe cleaning — $150* A vehicle has suffered the violations noted above on an egregious level that would require steam cleaning or a full detail Pet hair removal — $150* Significant amounts of pet hair If a host’s vehicle is not labeled “pet friendly” and a guest transports a pet without their permission Multiple cleaning issues — $250* Any combination of cleaning, smoking, and/or pet hair issue

  • What is Turo's pet policy? What if I have a service animal?

    If you transport a pet in a non-pet-friendly vehicle without getting your host’s approval in Turo messaging, they can charge you a fee of $150*, and Turo can remove you from the platform for violating our Terms of Service.

  • What happens if I get a ticket on my trip?

    You’re responsible for paying the cost of tickets that result from illegal driving or improper parking. You do not have to pay for tickets related to the car itself. For example, tickets for tinted windows, “fix-it” tickets, or tickets for lapsed insurance. You’re also responsible for all parking tickets and related fines received up to 24 hours after the trip ends. Read more about street parking. If your improper parking results in the car being towed and impounded, you’re responsible for all related costs. -----------If you get a ticket, notify your host as soon as possible.----------
