If you have a vehicle you need to park during your trip, there is usually plenty of street parking available in front of the house on either side of the street. There is also neighborhood street parking if you prefer to park on a less busy street. There will be no issue with leaving your car for several days. The car is generally parked on the street for pickup because backing out of the driveway can be a bit dangerous if you're not used to it. It is perfectly fine to park in the driveway when dropping off though.

No pets or smoking. I love snacks too, but please be mindful of foods and drinks that may be messy or anything that may leave a smell if left in the vehicle. Please fill with premium fuel. This is a turbo charged performance vehicle that requires it. Raise and lower the top only when safely parked. Please return in a reasonably clean state. Do not run through an automated car wash, I'd rather it returned a little dirty on the outside than run through the car wash.

• How do I put the top down?

  There is a tray in the trunk that must be in position first. Slide the tray forward and lock into the floor of the trunk. In the center console push the top down button on the right side. It will take about 30 seconds. If nothing happens check the display, it may think the trunk tray is not fully in place. The top can also be lowered by holding the unlocking the key with the remote and then holding the unlock button down until the top is fully lowered.

• How does the contactless hand off work?

  No more than 24 hours before pickup, upload a close up of your driver's license and a selfie holding the license to "trip photos". I will verify and send you a code. When you pick up the car there will be a lockbox on the window. Enter the code, retrieve the key and then put the lock box in the trunk. Upon return, place the key in the radio proof pouch and lock it in the trunk after locking the car.

• Do I have to use premium fuel?

  Yes, you must use premium fuel. Most BMWs have a "recommendation" of premium fuel. This car has a requirement of premium fuel. The premium fuel is necessary because the engine is super charged which means the gas/oxygen pressure is greater than normal. Normal fuel will explode prematurely under that pressure which will decrease performance/fun but more importantly can cause a knock that can cause damage. Please use premium fuel!

• Why do you rent this car out?

  I love having a cool, fun, fast car. Most of the time I work from home and don't have a lot of time to drive it though. When my car was parked for so long a few months ago that someone tried to steal it, I figured it was time to put it better use and share the experience of having a cool, fun, fast car.
