This Plug in Hybrid operates it's AWD system by use of a lithium high-voltage battery powered electric motor to operate the front wheels, and a 3 cylinder turbo BMW engine to power the back. Although it looks like a space ship both inside and out, the i8 was designed for fuel economy and luxury. Not to say it isn't relatively quick with it's dual motor output of 357 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque - there is plenty of get-up-and-go, but the hybrid system also delivers an EPA rated 76 combined miles per gallon when operating in hybrid mode. This car is quirky, factory designed with butterfly doors and a light-weight carbon fiber mono-frame tub, this 2014 looks like a concept car planned for release in the future. Please note that getting in and out of the car may require some practice and care. We would also suggest traveling light, as the trunk does not have much space, so it wouldn't be able to accommodate large pieces of luggage. The vehicle has amazing ambient lighting, with LED accents throughout the interior of the vehicle that glow at adjustable intensities and selectable colors, there is also a back seat, although we wouldn't recommend it for anyone tall. The vehicle is a beauty and will certainly draw attention wherever you go, and the exterior is protected in a paint matching black satin wrap with blue accents to match the vehicle's interior design, which is a rare interior package titled "TERRA WORLD" that features dark brown leather and cloth seats, BMW blue seat belts and interior trim stitching. LED headlights light your way, as you cruise through the night in incredible style. The i8 features 3 different drive modes, Comfort, Eco Pro for hybrid fuel economy, and Sport mode. If you are looking for a luxury performance car that is sure to turn heads, without having to make several frequent stops for gasoline, the i8 is for you! Due to some disrespectful previous renters, we will be monitoring driving habits such as excessive hard acceleration, speeding, and abusive driving behavior. Should you choose to drive this vehicle in an overly aggressive manner, your trip may be cut short with the vehicle being repossessed. If you break the vehicle or cause mechanical damage from aggressive driving, you will be billed for the cost of repairs. Our pick-up location is centrally located in Myrtle Beach about 4 miles from the Myrtle Beach International Airport. We use the parking lot for a small vape shop inside of an industrial strip mall, where employees there can assist in handing off and collecting keys for guest pick-up and drop-off. If you prefer another location, Airport and custom location delivery is available for a fee.
