As an auto repair shop owner for 25+ years, I have driven thousands of cars and can say with absolute confidence that TESLAS are the best cars I have ever experienced. And the Model 3's are the quickest, tightest and funnest cars I have ever driven! If you’re thinking about a new car, drive this for a day and you will love it so much that you will absolutely want to buy one! This 2018 Model 3 (VIN #5YJ3E1EA0JF151557) has a 225+ mile battery and several Autopilot Controls like Speed Limit, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Avoidance and more. It DOES NOT have the "Autopilot Package" (with Traffic Aware Cruise Control & Autosteer) or the Full Self-Driving software installed. (See our blue 2019 Model 3 - also available here on Turo - to experience these.) Be sure to watch Tesla tutorials for more info before your rental @ tesla.com/support/meet-your-tesla. This car is all electric - NO GAS! To charge at "home," plug into a standard 110v outlet and get 3-5 miles an hour. There are also free and pay EV chargers all around. The TESLA Supercharger Stations charge MUCH faster, are bountiful, easy to find, simple to use and can charge to a full battery in as little as 25 mins. [Typical Supercharger fee for 225 miles = $12-15.] **ADDITIONAL CHARGES - We will seek reimbursement for Tolls and Charging at TESLA Superchargers.** This car has its own EZ-Pass Account (transponder #5394321) and is recognized at TESLA Superchargers. We will check both accounts and add totals to your bill after car return/check-in. We can deliver (and pick-up) the car within 15 miles of Medway, MA 02053 and various other places (South Station, TF Greene Airport, etc...) for a $120 fee. Call first to check your desired location and we'll let you know if we can do it. FOR TRAVELERS FLYING INTO/OUT OF LOGAN AIRPORT - We can't meet you curbside at the airport, but there is a Car Share Section at the Logan Airport Economy Parking Lot (corner of Harborside Dr & Prescott St) where we will leave the car for you. You can catch the 24/7 Shuttle Bus #88 at the curb directly outside Logan Airport or from inside the Economy Lot. It goes between the Economy Lot and Terminals A, B, C & E; and runs every 15 mins.

I want the experience of charging at TESLA Superchargers. How does it all work?
We will go through a quick intro tour of the Model 3 at your pick-up, but TESLA Superchargers can be easily found by clicking the the LIGHTENING BOLT icon on the map screen. Info on all nearby Chargers will be displayed. Click the one you want and it will be added to your destination. WHEN AT A TESLA SUPERCHARGER, the car will be identified as you drive up. All you have to do is open the charge port, plug-in and your charging screen will give you the info on how fast it is charging, how long it will take and how much it will cost. Your Supercharger fees will be added to your bill at the end of your trip. [Typical Supercharger fee for 225 miles = $12-15.]
Do I have to return the car with a fully-charged battery?
We ask that you return the vehicle to the Neighborhood Wrench Auto Repair Shop with at least an 80% battery charge. Or you will be charged according to Turo's EV Recharge Fees - Return at 51-80% = $10; Return at 21-50% = $20; Return under 20% = $50. If we are picking a delivered car up, we require a minimum of 50 miles of battery available or we will add a $20 EV Recharge Fee.

Doug was excellent on all fronts and the Tesla was amazing. Communication with Doug was fast and pickup/dropoff at Boston Logan was easier than any other rental car service. FInding superchargers for the Tesla was easy and painless. Wonderful experience. Thanks Doug!

This was my first time using Truro.com as well as my first time renting/driving a Tesla. And it was fantastic, Doug is very attentive, explained, demonstrated several of the Cars features. I downloaded Truro, reserved the Tesla ahead of the weekend trip. I’m sure it’s in my future to do it again and try the Model Y.
