Description

Why book with us? - Our vehicles offer the best overall MPG and MPGe saving you $$ on fuel - We will never cancel on you - We have multiple vehicles of same make/model to offer redundancy - Top Rated customer service scores for all three metropolitan airports that we service About this vehicle: I call this vehicle the “Tesla Slayer.” Every Tesla owner that has rented this vehicle is amazed by the look and performance and how the electric engine performs. We found and adopted this vehicle and we do not know where it was born (we don’t have the CARFAX 😉) We hope you enjoy this vehicle as much as we do 😀. This car has a full gasoline engine and electric charging is an optional feature. The EPA has rated the 2017 Volt at 43 mpg city/42 mpg highway combined when the engine is running, and 106 Miles Per Gallon Equivalent combined when operating solely on electricity. Total mileage depends on your desire to charge the battery on a regular basis during your trip, ambient outside temp and your overall driving habits. Basic rule - warm days and driving the speed limit equals higher mileage. During the winter months you can expect approximately 34-40 miles max on the electric engine. During the warmer months you can expect 50-60 miles max. Feel free to ask your host Eric to explain the best way to maximize your experience when driving this wonderful hybrid vehicle 😁 Welcome to “We Get It” Rentals! The Premier Hybrid Vehicle rental group out of General Mitchell Milwaukee International, Midway Airport Chicago & O’Hare International Airport. 👍🏼 HANDS DOWN The best overall MPG of any Hybrid car on the market. Out performs the LexusCT200h, Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid, BMW i3 and Prius. There simply is no hybrid vehicle better suited for overall fuel economy! **EXTRA** - FREE Cooler Rental… Just Mention at the time of booking that you would like for us to leave the cooler in the car for you. **COMPLETELY SANITIZED** before and after each trip for both the guest and hosts safety. When renting, why not drive and pay for no gas or as little as possible. Keyless entry, steering wheel mounted audio and cruise controls and extra clean. A lot of legroom for driver and front seat passenger. Pickup and drop off 24/7 available. Passenger seats fold down for easy transport of large items. Tolls - An iPASS also included in the vehicle for tolls. If used, actual toll charges will be submitted through Turo for reimbursement after the trip. Renter is responsible for all toll fees and any potential violations that may occur during your rental period which may include parking tickets, red light violations or any other moving violations. Parking at pickup (O’Hare) - We make every effort to drop the vehicle for you in the Hourly Parking Garage or in Lot F Multi-Modal facility at O'Hare International Airport. We find that this is most convenient for our guests. For the convenience of being able to pickup on airport property and also the possibility of flight delays, we ask that the guest pay the parking at pickup of the vehicle and we will pay the parking after drop-off of the vehicle. The parking rates at the O'Hare Hourly Garage will be posted for you in the "Turo Trip Photos" prior to your trip and range from $3 - $14 for the first 4 hours. In the event we have to drop the vehicle the day prior, we will use either "Lot G" or "Lot F" which is a short shuttle or train ride from the main terminal. Rates for "Lot G" & "Lot F" range from $15 to $22 daily respectively and will also be uploaded for you in "Turo Trip Photos." "Lot D," The International Terminal lot, is used for SouthWest and Frontier Airlines passengers on occasion for pickup only with drop off in "Lot G" & "Lot F." Rates for "Lot D" range from $3 - $14 for the first 4 hours and the rates for this lot will be uploaded into "Turo Trip Photos." Parking at pickup (Milwaukee) - There are two options for parking at MKE and we recommend the Daily Garage at $15 per/day during the winter months as it is attached to the main terminal. There is a Super/Saver lot option just off airport property at $8 per/day. The Super Saver lot offers a FREE shuttle to and from the terminal. BEING LATE FOR RETURN: running late - extend your reservation accordingly. Per Turo policy it is better/cheaper for you to extend then paying late fees. CLEAN UP: We make every effort to provide you the cleanest vehicle possible. If the cleanliness is not up to your expectation, please let me know, and I will resolve it. I expect you to return the car in the same condition you received it. I take pictures of the interior/exterior before and after the trip. Refer to Turo policies for Cleaning charges. NO SMOKING or VAPING! Smoking fee is VERY expensive. This vehicle has leather interior and fits 4 comfortably with luggage. We recommend downloading the ChargePoint App to locate free charging. No reason to have to use any gas if you plan. Estimated mileage based on your ability to fully charge the vehicle every evening. If the majority of your driving will be local you may use very little gas. If you drive mostly highway then you would likely use mostly gas. The lifetime average has been between 99 and 250 mpg which is available to view on the vehicles energy settings. Electricity: 106 MPGe combined city/highway Gas only: 42 mpg Combined MPG on Gas Only Some features include: - Unlimited 4G LTE Internet Hot Spot - Cruise Control - Backup Camera - Leather Interior - Heated Seats - Heated Steering Wheel - Apple CarPlay - Toll Pass - Premium parking at Airports, Shopping Outlets and other destinations Cleaning policy violations: If you return the car unreasonably dirty, or you misplace any of the items below you may be charged the following fees: o Severe cleaning - $150 (See cleaning fee info below) o Lost 120V Portable Charging Chord - $450 o Lost Key Fee - $125 o Lost Apple Air Tag/FOB - $35/$35 o EV recharging fee: There will not be a recharge fee for this vehicle. o Gas replacement convenience fee: If you fail to replace the gas before returning a vehicle, your host can charge you a $10* convenience fee in addition to their cost to replace the gas. Faqs

  • How do I access the Hot Spot Internet Password?

Using the on screen display, touch the "OnStar" App then WiFi and the password will be displayed.

  • What type of Charger can the Chevy Volt accept?

Most any charging station except a "Tesla Only." You can charge at any ChargePoint or any Shopping Mall locations as examples. We recommend using the PlugShare App, ChargePoint and EVgo Apps on your smartphone.

  • Do I need to charge the Chevy Volt to drive the car?

No, the car comes with a gas tank and will use the electric charge first and then will switch over automatically to gas when charge is depleted. Many renters of this vehicle have commented that they never used any gas at all.

  • Do you approve out-of-state and/or Long-distance trips?

We will approve travel to neighboring states that is a reasonable distance. All travel to states that border the State of IL is approved however long-distance travel through multiple states will not be approved. EX: A guest would like to rent a vehicle to travel from Milwaukee, WI to Florida for a 1 week trip (This will NOT be approved) EX: A guest will be traveling to see family for 5 days from Chicago to Western Michigan. (This will be approved)

  • What is the Host’s and Guest’s responsibility for Flat Tire?

https://support.turo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360062406313-Flat-tire-damage-Hosts Flat tire damage | Hosts Am I responsible for a flat tire? Your guest is responsible for flat tires if they accidentally damage the tire, or if the flat is a result of vandalism during their trip. However, if the flat tire is a result of neglect or poor maintenance, you’d be responsible for the damage costs. You’d bear the cost of tire replacement or repair if it’s professionally documented that the flat resulted from: * a defect * a cut, gouge, bulge, or bubble on the sidewall * excessive wear that made it unsafe to drive at the start of the trip * improper inflation at the start of the trip * a tread depth of less than 4/32” * signs of dry rot * an age of more than six years What should I do if a guest gets a flat tire? If your guest gets a flat tire, we advise them to immediately contact Turo’s roadside assistance, then contact you to coordinate a replacement or repair. If the damaged tire is repairable, it might be best for your guest to do so. If there's sidewall damage or the tire isn't repairable, give your guest approval to replace the tire with one of equal or greater quality. Your guest isn’t responsible for replacing any of the non-damaged tires.  Remember to file a damage report via the Damage reporting center no later than 24 hours after the trip ends to be eligible for reimbursement. Whenever possible, we encourage you to resolve the claim directly with your guest. This lets you control the process and avoid paying administrative fees and costs. However, if you and your guest are unable to coordinate the replacement or repair, the individual protection plan chosen by each party would be in effect as part of the damage claim.

  • Do you offer a 🪖Military Discount🪖?

Yes, we offer a 10% “After Trip” discount back to all Active Military members in the form of a rebate. Discount is applied against “We Get It” rental proceeds/fees. Ex: A Guest pays Turo a total of $250.00 for a 4 day rental and the Host’s proceeds are $210.00 on the booking. The rebate would be $21.00.

  • What “Vehicle Maintenance” has been completed this year?

4/13/22 - Passed Annual Turo Vehicle Inspection. For a list of what is included visit the link below. https://support-resources.turo.com/safety-inspection/Annual%20vehicle%20inspection%20checklist%20-%20US.pdf 4/14/22 - 4 x New Cooper Tires & Computerized Wheel Alignment 4/14/22 - Synthetic Oil & Filter Change

Car is very nice. Clean and gets great gas mileage. But the best attribute of the car isn’t the car at all, it’s the host! He was SUPER helpful in describing the features of the car and as a non-Chicago native trying to maneuver around the Chicago airport, he literally talked me through, (with great patience), where to park and how to get where I needed to be for my flights. Great experience! Thank you Eric!

Eric's response

Thank you Sir 😀…. We recommend Jesse as a guest… Car was returned in top shape.
